The passing away of the old monk in autumn shocked me, and he left as soon as he said it. Winter is the most artistic conception. Abandoned women stumble and die, and all things are frozen and buried in Buddhas.
Fish, frogs, snakes and turtles, the monk leaves with a rooster in summer, and the rooster symbolizes vigorous desire. In autumn, the monk took the cat with him. The cat who wrote the Heart Sutra was indeed a lot warmer and calmer than the rooster. Snakes are often a symbol of desire. The old monk's cultivation base was very high. When he passed away, he sealed the six roots, but he still shed tears. Maybe he chose to incarnate into the snake at the end and continued to wait for the return of the little monk.
