What this film gave me was not a visual shock, but a spiritual shock. It seemed like I saw the real society. We have been flooded by all kinds of media for a long time. Do you really understand the society you live in? Can you understand the feelings of people living in slums? Is it bad to use violence to control violence? I don’t know. It's bad to say that violence is used to control violence? But why are there always some heroes in folklore who control violence? A thought-provoking movie is a good movie, isn't it?

The film, like other mainstream Brazilian crime films, uses harsh images to bring poverty and violence to the extreme. At the same time, the confession of BOPE captain Nassimón shows us that he is unscrupulous to find drug dealers to avenge Neto in order to cultivate Maltiz as a hero. His succession makes him feel at ease with his family, so what makes this film stand out is that it depicts the madness and tearing that the system brings to people from another angle.
