My dissertation is "The French Lieutenant's Woman". Fowles' language is so beautiful that it can definitely be compared with any good English novel. Fowles has created such a unique image of a woman for us. I even Like the author, I often see a woman in a black robe standing on the seashore in a trance, half-dreaming and half-awake, suddenly turning around and throwing a glance at you of hesitation and temptation, pale face, gray clouds, white splashing spray, blue. Colored eyes, your soul will tremble in an instant, Meryl Streep's performance is just like the lightning that drills into the soul, which is unforgettable. The film can be said to have reached 80% of the level of the original novel, which is rare.
