Please don't close those pure eyes.

I should be thankful that I chose this movie instead of spending my time chasing endlessly. The heart seemed to be squeezed tightly by a hand until the subtitles appeared on the black screen. I knew it had to be from a true story. Otherwise, it couldn't be so cruel.
Brandon fiddles with his hair and clothes in front of the mirror, and dresses up his lower body to make him look more like a man. He won the hearts of many women with his delicate emotions and handsome face. Then he was chased and cursed by a group of men, stuck in a room where he was not welcome, stubbornly rebutting the curses. Having nowhere to go, he meets new friends in bars and takes them to unfamiliar cities. She burned her life with them, almost getting carried away. He saw Lana in their group, and was deeply attracted to her. He falls in love with her and unleashes all his charms to win Lana's love. Finally, they hug each other and make love, and Brandon candid himself in front of Lana. When his gender was revealed in the newspapers, he was paroled by Lana from the police station and went to another prison. This prison is like hell. No one wants to listen to his heart. He was stripped naked, beaten and raped by his former friend, the man who admired Lana. When he seeks the law for what happened to him, he finally confesses everything to the cold police. He's a girl, so he's rightfully held hostage and powerless to resist. He managed to report the two beastly men to the police station, and made an appointment with Lana to go to his city. Just one night can change all fate. The two men go mad to assassinate gays and eventually find Brandon, who shoots Brandon in the chest without warning in the otherwise peaceful and mellow house. He died in a pool of blood, without a struggle. He couldn't hear the cries of his girl either. He left only one handwritten letter from him, describing to her the best wishes in his heart. A wish that can no longer be fulfilled.
This world is extremely bleak. This is the only perception I have left. He is just an innocent girl who hopes to be a boy from the bottom of her heart. He knows love better than anyone. He can sacrifice his dignity and his principles to do anything for his beloved. His kiss was pure and innocent. His love is so pure. And those normal people, Lana's mother betrayed other people's lives for her own life, the man who loves Lana is crazy to keep Lana's 12-year-old care, and the normal people who keep telling lies but think other people's mistakes are unforgivable Man, where is the norm for normality. Same-sex love, lose your gender, what's wrong.
I once knew a girl. Except for her body, everything else is only a boy. She had been searching for a way of sex reassignment surgery, and she wanted to love the girls she wanted to love with her truest self, instead of seeing them being taken away by men again and again. I don't know how she lives now, whether she has her own love. She appeared 5 years ago, and she was constantly drifting away, and finally disappeared.
The blessings I have given to these friends of mine are limited. But all I can give them is a blessing. The bleakness of the world will disappear one day. They will have a real world of their own.

Boys Don't Cry quotes

  • Brandon: Lana, you are one cranky girl.

Lana: Yeah, well, you'd be cranky, too, Mister I'm Going To Memphis Graceland Tennessee, if you were stuck in a town where there's nothing to do but go bumper skiing and chase bats every night of your evil fucking life.

  • Lana: God, I hate my life.

Lana's Mom: [drunk on the sofa] Lana?

Brandon: I hate your life, too.
