I now have a clearer point of view, a good book can indeed make a bad film , when the movie is small enough in comparison with the original book...
I'm glad that I could borrow
So I looked forward to the movie "Dream of Paris" adapted from this book. Maybe it can be praised by many, but... The mistake is that the charm of the original is incomparable...
The first is such a subtle description of the relationship between the three. The irreplaceable love between the three in the book seems to have become Isabella's power over two men... The relationship between the younger sister and the older brother should be avoided, and Matthew and Leo have a homosexual relationship. In the movie, it only focuses on the relationship between Isabella and Matthew. However, from the perspective of "Dreamer", Matthew has a secret homosexual tendency. The beautiful man and the beautiful man who was rescued by Matthew when the revolution broke out are the passages that can reflect Matthew's character. Everything that Matthew loves is a pursuit of beauty, a metaphysical pursuit, in short... a dream!
Secondly, the passage of Matthew waving the flag and singing revolutionary songs and Matthew's death is so shocking at the end of the book. I feel incredible... no more emotion...
Again, the song imagery that recurs in the book It also disappeared... The ode to connect the dreams and youth of the three people is gone...
Finally, I want to call the movie "Dream of Paris" or "Sex. Dream. Paris"... And that book , is the real
