Sabrina, what a beautiful name

I watched two editions one after another, the 54-year edition and the 95-year edition.
54 is more comedy, 95 is more romantic. At first glance at 95, I thought she was even like a fairy tale.
Personally, I feel 95 is more acceptable. Probably because of the relationship between the ages, 95's lines and plots are more likely to resonate with people.
But I have to admit that 54's lines are very exciting, and many of them disappear when they reach 95.
The biggest highlight of 54 is probably Audrey Hepburn. After reading 54, I felt that the heroine of 95 was bleak. In contrast, Hepburn's temperament is more in line with the character.
Loved Sabrina's narration at the beginning and end. Sabrina's voice is clear and bright in 54, gentle and romantic in 95.
While most of the remakes aren't as good as the original, this one is a lot better than I expected, both versions.

Sabrina quotes

  • Linus Larrabee: [David is indisposed so Linus meets up with Sabrina instead and romances her] Oh, I almost forgot.

    [he kisses her]

Linus Larrabee: The rest of the message from David.

Linus Larrabee: [Sabrina slaps him] Thanks, I needed that.

Sabrina: What am I doing? I never should have... I'm...

    Linus Larrabee: No, it's...

Sabrina: No, I mean - you have my handprint on your face.

Linus Larrabee: I think it would be better if you pick up your messages in person. You'll see David tomorrow.

    [he leaves]

  • Maude Larrabee: David, you're like my own son.

David Larrabee: I am your own son, Mother.

Maude Larrabee: Exactly! Now, I endured twenty-one hours of hard labor to bring you into the world. The doctors begged me to take drugs, but I kept saying I wouldn't do anything to hurt my child. Well, I've changed my mind - you screw up with Elizabeth and I swear I'll kill you.
