The sci-fi concept of the main line of the film is still good. It tells that after more than 200 years, human beings began to immigrate to some habitable aliens. The planet to which the first settlers arrived had a feature that transformed the thoughts of male settlers into something audible and visible to others, which was not the case with women settlers.
Changes in the basic rules of the new society led to a change in the social structure of social immigration, with groups of immigrants divided into several rival tribes. Todd, the male protagonist of the film, was born and raised in a tribe without female members. The head of the tribe, the "Mayor", has supernormal brainwaves that can control other people's thinking and has a strong ability to create virtual images. In the process of growing up, Todd's ability in this area is also rapidly improving, so he is appreciated by the mayor. .
The peaceful life is disrupted by the arrival of a second immigrant vanguard ship, the only surviving female member of which, Viola, is discovered by Todd. In order to prevent the arrival of new immigrants from undermining his authoritative rule, the mayor tried to eliminate Viola. Todd took Viola and fled to other tribes for refuge, but the mayor was eager to pursue him. There were various difficulties and obstacles along the way, and the relationship between the two gradually deepened during the journey.
Eventually Viola and Todd find the wreckage of the ship the first settlers were on, send a message to their companions on standby in space, and defeat the mayor. The two seem to finally be able to be happy together.
There is nothing wrong with the main logic of the whole story, and it is innovative and creative, which is in line with the basic elements of science fiction stories. But some detailed logic still needs to be scrutinized, such as:
Looking at the wreckage of the spaceship that the first batch of immigrants took, it should not look like a normal landing. It seems that there were some losses in personnel and equipment during the landing process, but some still remained. The problem is that technology is so developed that interstellar travel is possible. Don't the immigration spacecraft prepare some land transportation? Or are all these devices damaged? What if I encounter a protist with super attack and protection capabilities? Only rely on the horse-riding charge mode of the cold weapon era?
The technological content of the equipment in the wreckage of the first spaceship also seems to lack a sense of the times. Compared with the wreckage of the spaceship in "Alita", it is full of plasticity. And the communication equipment that was easily found by Viola, didn't the mayor know about it? Why not destroy it in advance?
The second batch of immigrants sent an advance team down to explore the way. The appearance of the landing module still retains the appearance of the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union, and it is not as strong as it was at that time, and it burned through the atmosphere. . . The landing compartment was damaged, and the crew did not equip individual soldiers with communication tools that could communicate with the mothership. If something happened below, they had to run back to the landing compartment to report to the mothership. . . How did this level of technology send such a large immigrant mothership to the sky?
In order to cover up his sins, the mayor killed all the women in the tribe, including his wife, leaving only men. How can the huge family business be passed on? Does it depend on true love between men and women?
And the black-skinned aborigines with only half an arm appeared for a while. It seemed that the body structure was relatively strong, but he couldn't beat Todd in unarmed combat, and then there was no related plot. What species is he? Why is it in a small pool? Where did you go? What is the concept of alien humans? . . . It has all become endless suspense.
In general, let’s play Samsung, it’s basically okay to take a look, but don’t report too high expectations.
