He was raised by them and inherited their spiritual beliefs. He thought they represented the only belief of their group. On that day, they were slaughtered in front of his eyes, and he was the only survivor. Carrying their expectations and beliefs, he wanders the world. He tried to find survivors of that group, even though he was just an abandoned baby adopted by that group. But the Clan raised him, they raised him, and gave him everything. When he found the survivors of the ethnic group, he found that they were actually exiled from the ethnic group. Their ideas are already at odds with the ideas of the ethnic group. As a result, it was as if denying his world, denying his beliefs, denying the love of his heart: theirs. Even if he now has the power to lead the ethnic group, even if the ethnic group keeps him again and again. But when they who raised him were totally denied him, he no longer belonged to the tribe. He will inherit everything from them, their way, and survive, even if he is always alone.

Chapter 9: The Marshal quotes

  • Cobb Vanth: You don't understand what it was like. The town was on its last legs. It started after we got news of the Death Star blowing up. The second one, that is. The Empire was pullin' outta Tatooine. There was blaster fire over Mos Eisley. The occupation was over. We didn't have time to celebrate. That every night, the Mining Collective moved in. Power hates a vacuum and Mos Pelgo became a slave camp overnight.

  • The Mandalorian: They say it lives in there. They say it sleeps. It lives in an abandoned sarlacc pit.

Cobb Vanth: Lived on Tatooine my whole life. There's no such thing as an abandoned sarlacc pit.

The Mandalorian: There is if you eat the sarlacc.
