Sports inspirational film, always so inspiring

A film based on a true story, which records the struggle history of a pony in the 1930s in the United States---"Sea Biscuits" ^_^

I haven't found any bad inspirational sports films in the United States, but foreigners are different. The spirit revealed in the sports movie is always radiant, always so inspirational, so inspiring

ps: After watching it for half an hour, I found out that the rider, one of the three heroes of the movie, is the legendary Spider-Man--- Tobey Maguire, what a shame. . .

Looking at the little bugs found by the strongman watching the film, I don't know how the person sees the film, it is completely microscope-level eyes:

·Anachronism: In the paddock of the stable, the copper of the ocean biscuit can obviously be seen picture.

· Factual error: The Maryland flag was upside down during the Pinrico race, and the Calvert family's gold and black logo should have been on the top of the flagpole.

Anachronism: In a series of stills showing the first year of the Great Depression, a truck with a 1937 license plate can be seen.

Anachronism: When they allowed Red to ride out into the wild on Ocean Biscuits, "teaching him to be a real horse again", Howard's car was a modern vintage car license plate.

· Factual error: Red's father called his wife Agnes. Red's mother's name was actually Edith. The name of Red's future wife (which we don't see in the film) is Agnes.

· Factual error: The American flag at Pinrico had 50 stars, and in the 1930s, there were only 48 states in the United States.

Anachronism: Before the end of the movie, an electronic scoreboard can be seen in the background after Ocean Crackers won the Pinrico competition. There were no electronic scoreboards in the 1930s.

Anachronism: There is also a peat track in the dirt track at the Santa Anita Park race. In fact, it wasn't until 1953 that Santa Anita started using the peat track, 13 years after the film's setting.

Anachronism: All jockeys in sports fields wear safety lenses made of plastic. These were not used until at least after World War II.

· Factual error: The radio in the car is turned on and the music is playing. In the 1930s, all radios had tubes that had to be heated for at least 10 to 15 seconds.

· Anachronism: When the little boy was buried, the equipment used to lower the coffin was modern (after the 1980s).

It is indeed reminiscent of sugar cubes, oh, it's the other way around. The scenes, soundtracks, and plots all follow the line of classic American films, which are heavy and warm works, but I still think sugar cubes are better than others. The feelings of horses are more delicate and touching. However, the focus of seabiscuit and sugar cubes are different. The former highlights a sense of the times, while the latter is more healing.

Seabiscuit quotes

  • Charles Howard: You could be crippled for the rest of your life.

Red Pollard: I *was* crippled for the rest of my life. I got better. He made me better. Hell, you made me better.

  • George Woolf: Pretty small, ain't he?

Red Pollard: He's gonna look a lot smaller in a second, Georgie.
