Civilization is our fucking friend!

When watching the trailer of this movie, since it was completely promoted as the live-action version of eating chicken, plus its large scale and high blood level, I took it for granted as the killing movie version of "The Hunger Games" ". But actually this film expresses far more than I imagined.

The plot of the film is actually very simple: a group of self-righteous elites use words such as "untouchables" and "inferior" in group chats, and joke about hunting "inferior" in a manor. Unexpectedly, this chat record was posted on the Internet by hackers, and the "keyboard warriors" were enthusiastic, thinking that this group of elites really enjoyed hunting and killing civilians, and called it the "Manor Gate Incident". Under the pressure of public opinion, the elites in this group chat were dismissed by their senior management. In order to take revenge on the "keyboard warriors", these elites decided to arrest these "keyboard warriors" who had sprayed them on the Internet, designed a hunting manor according to the "Manor Gate" they imagined on the Internet, and started the real hunting.

The biggest shock to me in this film is a series of anti-routine settings and many ironic metaphors.

Do you think this blond, blue-eyed, dodging bullet, with a protagonist look is the heroine?

After half a second:

Died by a headshot

Do you think this hero saves the beauty, the handsome guy with muscular muscles and the look of the American soldier is the male protagonist?

After ten seconds:

die from landmines

Do you think this warm male uncle who looks like Paul Rudd who appeared later is the male protagonist?

ten minutes later:

tragically killed by elderly couple

..........................................

All in all, through a lot of anti-routine operations, this film adds a unique comedy effect to these bloody scenes of headshots, blows, and broken arms. Sets the tone of satire for the film.

Aside from these killing scenes and simple and rude plots, this film also discusses many sensitive topics, but it is brilliant and clever in each of them.

1. Global warming

Every time people enter the store, the camera is shown the climate change broadcast on TV

The management of guns

3. The bottom line that cannot be crossed - black people

"black" can't be said
Elites would rather have their own people play people of color than arrest black people (must bring a person of color is also a satire on today's mainstream Hollywood blockbusters)

4. Immigration issues

5. Elites are self-righteous

6. "Keyboard Man" spreads hostility on the Internet

Seven, the consumption of the rich

So civilization is really our FUCKING FRIEND?

Apart from these brushed-off bridges, there are two interesting metaphors throughout the film.

1. The tortoise and the hare race:

This is a story told to her by the heroine's mother. The general content is: "Once upon a time there was a rabbit in the forest who always boasted that no one could run faster than him. It is true, because every running competition, the rabbit always He is the winner. All the animals in the forest have to endure him. So the tortoise thought: It's better to go and compete with the hare. Then there is the classic story of the tortoise and the hare: the hare dozed off proudly under the tree, was overtaken by the tortoise, and finally the tortoise The victory was won. The other animals in the forest cheered. At night, the tortoise ate with the family and told the children: Perseverance is victory. It was the door that was smashed open, the hare killed the tortoise's family with a hammer, and then finished the tortoise's dinner .The rabbit is always the winner.

The rabbits in this story are the elites of the capital world in reality, and the turtles and other small animals are the "inferior people" in their mouths. In a normal game, the "lower class" can't compare to the elite anyway, so the elite can be defiant and do whatever they want, and the "other little animals" can only endure it. In this case, the only window in which the "lower class" can win is to seize the opportunity for the elite to be distracted. The heroine is such a tortoise, she seized the opportunity to win a hunting game organized by elites. The last shot of the film also showed the heroine drinking "white snow champagne" in the elite manor and eating caviar

But will it really end like this? This is just the second act in the story of the tortoise and the hare. Presumably the revenge of the elites will not end here, and the heroine will be more fortunate afterward. In conclusion: rabbits are always winners.

There is also an intriguing point here. The reason why the heroine can win is because the elites took the initiative to bring themselves and the "lower class" into the same game. If the elites don't want to play this game, the male bloggers, and the car fuelers won't even have the chance to meet these elites, so how can you win against them?

"Animal Farm"

In the movie, the elites call the heroine "Snowball". A pig in "Snowball" George Orwell's "Animal Farm."

The book is about: Mr. Jones, the farmer, forgot to feed the animals one day, so the animals broke out in a revolution and occupied the farm. "Snowball" is an idealistic pig who leads the animals on the farm to defeat the enemy and achieve a good harvest. But another pig named "Napoleon" slandered "Snowball" by spreading rumors, and finally drove it out of the manor. (The "Orwell" shouted by the woman in the bunker after accidentally killing the little pig is the name of George Orwell, the author of "Animal Farm", the meaning here is unclear, it may just be an Easter egg)

The elites call the heroine the "snowball" in Animal Farm, but the problem is that the elites have reversed their identity. According to the book, the heroine should be "Napoleon", and they are the "snowball". make them doomed to fail.

Personally, I think there is another meaning here. At the beginning of the film, the elite refers to the heroine as an "uneducated and ignorant person". But here the heroine instead pointed out the mistakes of the elites, and the elites were very surprised

This detail makes me suspect that the elites have never read "Animal Farm" at all, they are just dabbling in the fur, and they impose the name "Snowball" on the heroine. This shows that the cultural heritage of the elites is only superficial, but the heart is empty!
