Some things, in the past, can no longer find the truth.
Take MH370, which disappeared suddenly on March 8, 2014.
Seven full years have passed, and we still don't know why the plane suddenly veered to the southern Indian Ocean in the early hours of the morning, let alone what kind of nightmare the passengers on board experienced.
It's a pity that time will not polish the rust, it will only add another layer of fog to the originally confusing results.
Another example is the "Dyatlov Incident" in 1959.
Until now, there is no human or physical evidence to explain what happened that night.
We only know of nine people before and after, all of whom perished on that cursed snowy mountain, and in very bizarre conditions when they died.
Back in time to February 1959.
Ten alpine climbers from the Ural Institute of Technology in Yekaterinburg, the Soviet Union, made a decision that changed their fate forever—climbing the 1,234-meter-high Otolten Mountain.
In fact, this is not a big challenge for experienced mountaineers. But like many people today, we only look at the status quo and ignore the variables.
Not long after departure, Yuri Yudin in the team had to stop the journey because of a sudden high fever.
From a superstitious point of view - this is not a good sign.
But the Soviet youth at that time did not pay attention to superstition and arranged for their teammates. The remaining nine continued to set off according to the original plan and successfully entered the Ural Mountains.
Originally, the two sides kept in touch, but two weeks later, Yuri Yuding, who was "lonely", found that there was no more news from his teammates. Feeling that something was wrong, he began to contact the rescue. In the end, the search found that all nine team members were killed.
It stands to reason that although the unfortunate death of mountaineering is sad, it is also understandable - to challenge nature, you must accept the test of nature, harsh weather conditions, dangerous wild beasts, and any accident may not make them safe return.
But what puzzled and even panicked the search and rescue personnel was that the death scene of the nine people was full of strangeness.
The nine people were killed at Mount Death, just a stone's throw away from Mount Otolten.
According to the mountaineering diary they left behind, the group deviates from the planned route due to the storm and appears to have encountered an avalanche.
Judging from the tents that were cut at the scene, these team members should have encountered an accident while resting and were preparing to escape. Their actions seemed to be panicked, because some of them didn't even wear shoes, and two of them were almost naked.
And their bodies also seemed to have suffered some damage. One of the victims' skulls was severely deformed, the ribs of two people were broken by a huge impact, and one person's leg bones and pelvis were broken.
What is even more puzzling is that one of the four victims, one man and one woman, also had their tongues and eyeballs cut off, and high-intensity radiation was detected on their clothing. Obviously, avalanches can do Not these.
After a long investigation, the final official conclusion is that the nine-member mountaineering team died of "a powerful unknown force".
It was not until the disintegration of the Soviet Union that more details and information about the incident were revealed.
The team's photographer had desperately defended the camera before dying, and in the camera, a photo showed an unknown object above the heads of the three people.
What this object is and whether it will be the "murderer" of this massacre remains a mystery until now.
Fifty-four years later, these mysteries attracted a student at the University of Oregon, Holly, who decided to go to the site to find out.
Obviously, one person can't do this, so she pulled her friend Jensen and three other enthusiasts of the Diatlov incident to go up the mountain to dig out the truth, and took the opportunity to make a documentary to uncover the mystery.
The documentary is called "The Diatrov Incident".
Although the five guys are young, their ideas are very clear.
They are going to ask the only survivor of the year to find out about the situation before climbing the mountain, and then make plans.
But plans can never keep up with the changes, and when the five find the survivor, they learn that he's gone mad. In desperation, they could only run to the mental hospital and try to meet the survivor.
But mental hospitals don't like documentaries and don't care about the truth.
Here, the five were blocked and driven away by hospital security. Just when they decided to give up, an old man held up a Russian card at the window. Of course, the old man was quickly subdued.
Fortunately, the young man has good eyesight, so he wrote down this Russian sentence, found a local guide to translate it, and got a word - away.
The old man seemed to be implying something, but the five young people didn't take it seriously, turned their heads and went up the mountain.
The road at the beginning was smooth and calm, no different from an ordinary mountaineering adventure. But the current calm is often a warning before a storm comes.
The next day, the team members found a series of footprints in the snowdrifts. Where did the birds not poop, where did they come from? And this string of footprints has no way or place to go, and it appears alone in the snow, which is very strange.
Although they felt uneasy in their hearts, these young people still did not intend to stop.
But as they went further and further, strange things became more and more, they first found a tongue in the power cabinet of a communication station, and then heard the howling of the beast at night.
On the third day, the most desperate thing came - everyone's GPS and compass failed.
At this time, the five people seemed to understand why the mountaineering team strayed from the route, and they even found a strange gate in the snow. At this time, everyone was a lot more awake. They all agreed that all this was done by Holly, the organizer of the event. For the fun of the itinerary, she must play some tricks.
Shirley couldn't argue with the questions from the team members. She repeatedly claimed that these things had nothing to do with her.
That night, the camp was suddenly hit by an avalanche.
Familiar script, familiar events, but the five of them ran for their lives in a hurry, and they couldn't think so much.
After finally escaping, before they could breathe a sigh of relief, they suddenly found traces of people, and they couldn't help crying out for help after being surprised.
After calling for help, their IQs returned to the high ground - these people who appeared out of thin air had no luggage, they should not be mountaineering enthusiasts, but probably people living here.
In such a bad place, there is only one explanation - the rumor is true, there really is a secret military base here. They seem to be getting closer to the truth.
But if the soldiers are caught, the trip will come to an end, and there will be no truth to it.
So the five decided to run away. In order not to be caught, they also opened the mysterious door they had discovered before. Behind the gate, they saw something ten thousand times more terrifying than the soldiers.
Behind the door is a large laboratory, and there is also an execution chamber. There was even a corpse inside, preserved to its last integrity by the cold.
From the depths of the cave, there was a terrifying cry. At this time, everyone finally believed that all the strange events had nothing to do with Shirley.
But it was too late, and deep within the cavern, the Howlers appeared—a group of creatures that were humanoid but certainly not human.
The team members were attacked by this group of creatures one by one, and there was nowhere to hide in the closed space.
Finally, someone learned of a government teleportation experiment through the cave's documents-because the experiment failed, everyone mutated, and these ferocious creatures were human beings themselves.
And they are now in this laboratory.
The truth seems trivial in such an environment, and then, another "Dyatlov Incident" happened.
Seeing this, we already understand that this is a plot-style pseudo-documentary that has been recreated, and everything in it has been artistically processed.
But objectively speaking, the film is very real, and the whole process is the first-person perspective of the handheld DV machine, which is deeply immersed in it.
Going back to the real events in 1959, the truth may always be buried in the hearts of the nine dead people. What happened to them may never be known. What we do know is that there are nine fresh lives buried in that piece. In the snow, they will never come back.
Does the truth matter? Important, but more important than the truth, is the value of life.
The only warning from this massacre is that under immature conditions, we cannot replace equipment and technology with recklessness and passion to challenge the dangerous and fascinating nature.
They are a warning sign with only one word on it - stay away.
