Every character is great

There may be two reasons why the movie can't be watched at the beginning:

1. Comparing the humiliation of superiors to inferiors in 1992 from the perspective of contemporary employment relations is too much

2. Similar movies such as "Trading Place", the way of playing chicken blood is similar. It's not new.

But at the end, I feel that this film is the best film in this series I have seen so far. I don’t know why the rating is so low. The film language is not gorgeous, and the color of the picture does not jump, so I can more calm down and focus on the essence. The bistro and floor-to-ceiling windows remind me of Hope's "The Nightingale"

Every character's character is portrayed very well, and the actors' presentation is also beyond expectations. It is worth mentioning Jack Lemmon?.

I love thought-provoking movies, and if this movie wants to express human nature more complex, you can set the last dark line of shelly and Roma as they also want to betray the company, that is, both camps in the office. I want to sell out the company. In the end, after Shelly's big mouth was exposed, in order to protect Roma, who had been praising him, Shelly chose to confess Moss. In this case, Roma's behavior of pretending to make a phone call and not wanting to listen to Shelly's words can be explained. It's not that he doesn't want to hear it, but that he wants Shelly to take care of it alone.

Everyone has a motivation to steal, but they are not motivated enough. This is the biggest point of view

Shelly, the scapegoat, fell on a big mouth and a little weakness. In this jungle world where the weak eat the strong, the old shelly was worthless and took the blame for everyone and was eventually eliminated from the game, which may be more cruel and more thought-provoking. Whether it is performance or age will always be eliminated, the last such exit may be the tacit understanding of the office. And Roma's praise is the last goodwill to this once brilliant old shelly.

PS: Because of Jack Lemmon's acting skills, the above idea came to the fore. A good actor can bring endless imagination to the audience, tribute?

Glengarry Glen Ross quotes

  • Dave Moss: Did they steal the contracts?

Ricky Roma: What the fuck do you care?

Shelley Levene: [retelling to Roma his sales deal] "Harriet, I wanna tell you something..."

Dave Moss: What's that supposed to mean?

Shelley Levene: Will you shut up? I'm telling him something.

George Aaronow: [George looks into the main office from Williamson's office] Can we get some coffee?

    Dave Moss: How're you doing?

    George Aaronow: Fine.

    Dave Moss: Uh huh.

George Aaronow: If anybody's going out, I could use some coffee.

[George returns to Williamson's office and shuts the door]

Shelley Levene: [still telling his story] You do get the opportunity.

Dave Moss: [to Ricky] The fuck that's supposed to mean?

Shelley Levene: You DO get the opportunities, you get it as I get it, as everybody get it.

Dave Moss: Rick, that I don't care they stole the contracts?

Shelley Levene: Now, I had them on the kitchen and I'm eating their crumb cakes...

Dave Moss: What does that mean?

Ricky Roma: It means, Dave, you haven't closed a good one in a month! None of my business; you wanna push me to answer you. So, you haven't got a contract to get stolen so far.

  • George Aaronow: They're gonna bounce me out of a job.
