"White Tiger": Eating people without spitting bones

The foul-smelling chicken coop is the most realistic portrayal of the living environment of the people at the bottom of India. The ruthless class stratification suppresses them in the darkest and dirtiest quagmire of the country, unable to move.

When the people at the bottom raise their heads a little, they can see the heavenly luxury life of the rich shrouded in a halo. But the only ones who can cross the class line are their eyes. Most of them have to fight hard for the qualification to crawl and bow their heads as servants and kiss the insteps of the rich!

The huge gap between the rich and the poor breeds a huge deformed society, where the strong eat the weak and the sun is dark. Gangs, enslavement, corruption, murder... Staged at will, the poor who want to turn their backs have to commit crimes!

The male protagonist Ballang, who came from a poor family, is kind and devout, and wants to work hard with both hands to create a better tomorrow for himself and his family. The smart man has seized the hard-won opportunity, successfully entered the rich family, became a servant that others envied, and even had a happy time, but unfortunately the social environment did not give him another chance.

The reckless actions of the rich, the sarcasm of the poor, and the surrounding environment like a big dye vat have gradually distorted this young man's humble but beautiful heart and slipped into the dark abyss...

Holy beliefs and pure ideals can exist for a short time, but in the chicken coop, these two things cannot live to see the rising sun of the next day.…

As the people at the bottom, fate is to eat, or to be eaten!

The Indian filmmakers used the surgical scalpel method to ruthlessly self-analyze the body of the scorpion, revealing the bloody torso, which reminded me of the Korean movie "Parasite" that won the Oscar last year.

In addition to admirable courage, I have to sigh with emotion for the extremely relaxed creative environment of the practitioners!

The White Tiger quotes

  • Balram: The greatest thing to come out of this country in its 10,000-year history... the rooster coop. They can see and smell the blood. They know they are next, yet they don't rebel. They don't try and get out of the coop.

  • Balram: The trustworthiness of servants is so strong that you can put the key of emancipation in a man's hand and he will throw it back at you with a curse.
