very subjective review

I didn't think it would touch me so much before watching it. I don't see this movie as a movie at all, so I don't consider the quality as a movie at all in this review. Instead, talk about how you feel and resonate with yourself as a fan.

Taylor said in the film that his wish written in his diary since childhood was to be a good girl in the eyes of others. As she embarked on the path of being a singer, her happiness was based on the attention, applause and applause she received. But living in the expectations of others and basing one's own value on the evaluation of others is a very dangerous thing. In 2016, she was involved in the whirlpool of public opinion for no reason, and lost the "good reputation" she once had. She experienced struggle and pain, and fell into self-doubt. One of the core ideas in "The Courage to Be Hated" is, "If you want to exercise freedom, you have to pay a price. In interpersonal relationships, the price of freedom is to be hated by others." So after precipitation, she chose freedom , chooses to no longer live for the eyes of others, she no longer goes on a diet to achieve the so-called "standard" slender figure as before, and she no longer completely reaps happiness from the evaluation of others, she chooses a comfortable lifestyle, she Choose to find fulfillment in truly good intimacy. This transition is significant for anyone.

In the second half of the film, the transformed Taylor bravely spoke out when encountering sexual harassment incidents. Because when she was hurt by innocent people, it was painful and helpless to be misunderstood, abused and insulted. Like so many women who are still silently enduring injustice, their voices are not heard, and they are even powerless to resist it. This makes Taylor more aware of the relationship between words and power. She supported the "Me Too" movement on social platforms, and later revealed her political stance for the first time, choosing to stand on the right side of history. Although the result has not changed, she has at least made an effort. Under the eyes of doubt and anxiety, she bravely speaks her position, and is no longer afraid to use her influence. She said she thought she was mature enough, educated enough, and understood enough to break the silence, stand her ground, and speak out in support of women's rights and sexual minorities. This is the process of a woman growing up. The stereotyped female image, with a pink bow and innocent eyes, plays the role of a silent outsider, once Taylor, once I was like this. In order to avoid disputes and because of a lack of self-confidence in ourselves, we did not speak up. People are too used to women who are silent, women who are quiet and obedient, women who obey and never resist. At times like these, daring to break the spiral of silence, to stand up and claim your position, and to use your voice is the first step to change.

I heard the song All too Well for the first time when I was in junior high school. The lyrics resonated strongly with me. Since then, I have known her and liked her music. All along, her music has become more and more mature, her style has become more and more diverse, and the artistry of her language has continued to improve. I have seen her subject matter expand from the adolescent emotions of young girls to the attack on social issues. All of this gives me a sense of shared witness. I have witnessed the changes in her music and life, and her music has also witnessed my growth. Finally, I'd like to say that if Taylor was ever an American sweetheart, she now lives up to the name Lady America.
