There is a sentence in the film that I very much agree with, the dog doesn't think it is working, it is using its life to accompany its owner. I've owned a few dogs and I'm a big fan of dogs, so I totally agree with this point of view. This film is based on the true events of the 1925 sled dog relay to deliver serum. Togo went from a naughty puppy to a head dog. The owner Sepp never recognized Togo, until the time of sending the serum. The background of real events further strengthens the companionship between man and dog, and the family-like feeling. In the same period, there is also a adaptation of Jack London's novel, The Call of the Wild, which tells a similar story.
