The film "The World's Fastest Indian" is based on the true story of world-renowned motorcyclist Burt Munro. Hopkins plays the legendary motorcyclist. Hopkins's acting skills are perfect, so he portrays Bert as Bert himself, I am convinced.
After repairing and modifying his 1920 Indian Scout motorcycle, Burt ventured to Utah, USA, to accomplish his lifelong desire: to drive around the Banavia Salt Flats. He eventually set the world record for land speed. On August 26, 1967, he set a world record of 1000 cc. This record has not been broken yet. At that time, he was almost 70 years old.
There are two actors in the film industry that I respect and love so much, and I'm terrified to hear the news of their passing one day. I don't know how sad I will be. Although I know that day will come sooner or later. One is Anthony Hopkins; the other is Maggie Smith. I won't miss a Hopkins movie.
The story takes place in the 1960s, what a simple age it was. Because it is based on real people and events, Burt's success is convincing. This is a story about dreams. As Burt said in the film: If a person has no dreams, he is like a vegetable. Burt's dream came true, but also because of the help from everyone. And this also proves that those who are enlightened help more.
There are several scenes in the film that are eye-catching: ① When Burt went to the United States alone, the biker who used to race with him came to see him off. Give him the dollars they scraped together and escort him to the port. ②Arriving in Banavia, looking at the endless salt lake, Bert was overwhelmed and quietly wiped the tears from the corners of his eyes. Figure ①. ③The staff and spectators at the competition site who had never known each other raised money for Burt and provided accommodation for Burt, who was in distress. ④ After Burt broke the world record, those who had never lived before cheered and cried with excitement, as if they had broken the record themselves. ⑤ Back home, he complained that Bert's neighbors had trimmed the lawn for him. ⑥ At the end of the film, Burt opened his low home like a work shed and said, it's good to go home. Figure ③. A person with a dream, even if he lives in a shabby house, he is at ease.
You can always chase your dream no matter hou old you are, successes is for the ones who never let go of their dreams.
One of the benefits of watching movies is that you can meet many great people and learn more about the world through movies. This movie brought me into the world of motorcycles and met an amazing person.
Figure ①②③ is the movie screen and poster. Figure ④⑤⑥ is the real Burt Munro. Look at the old man, look at his shabby looking old Indian motorcycle.
