all beings

The film Gosford Manor was originally viewed as a mystery film. However, after watching it for 20 minutes, my head was about to explode. Originally, I didn't remember the faces of foreigners very clearly, but as a result, the master class and the servant class continued in multiple lines, and I felt that there were threads everywhere, and I couldn't tell who was who. After 20 minutes, how many people are in the owner's family of this manor, who they are... I don't know. Originally, I was ready to watch the mystery film. Although there are details everywhere in the lens, and although the memory of the head is about to blow up, I still try to remember these details as much as possible. However, halfway through the two-hour film, the case was just beginning. Then I suddenly realized that this is probably not a simple reasoning film. After watching the whole movie for more than two hours, the main story is actually very simple. The owner of the manor invites relatives and friends for a hunting party. But the owner of the manor died in his home, and no one seemed to be truly saddened by his death. The detective invited also has two knives... Even after the film ended, the audience guessed who the murderer was, but the detective did not find the murderer. The most exciting thing about the whole film is the relationship between people. Including the relationship between the master OnePlus, the relationship between the master and relatives and friends, including the relationship between the master class and the servant class, and the relationship between the servants. So, this is simply a movie showing the appearance of all beings in an alternative way. The director is still very good, so many characters must be clearly designed, the weight of each line is about the same, and they must be evenly interspersed in the story. The most impressive thing in the whole story turned out to be that after the dinner, everyone played cards and chatted in the living room, and then the movie star played the piano and sang alone. The owners don't take movie stars seriously, they just use it as a body film machine, and they even despise the singing being too boring. However, the servants who hid in the dark and in the corner were able to open their minds and enjoy the music to the fullest. The servants who do not need to be on duty either revel in the song, or dance to the song, or ponder in the song. Even at the end, the male master died, and his relatives and friends had their own positions. No one cared about how he died, and they all fled once they could leave. But the servants seem to retain a human touch, and they can help each other regardless of the depth of their friendship. Between these two classes, the relationship between people and the attitude towards life are very ironic. This movie is still worth watching several times, but once you watch it, your head is already very big. It will take a while to swipe again.

  • Morris Weissman: [after Jennings suggests Mr. Weissman choose his own breakfast items] Oh, like cafeteria style?

Baron Raymond Stockbridge: The Englishman is never waited on at breakfast.

Morris Weissman: Well, that's interesting, because an American is. I'll make a note of that.

  • Morris Weissman: Thank you, Mr. Jennings.

Mr. Jennings: It's just Jennings, sir.

Morris Weissman: Then thank you, just Jennings.
