Watched the video on this wish list on New Year's Eve.
At first, I was a little indifferent and a little confused. This is just a story about an underage girl who had an abortion, and the movie is only a restrained and calm description of the whole process of the girl from knowing to dealing with it. Indeed, this is my first impression. Topics are common, descriptions are bland.
I'm used to seeing some movie reviews every time I watch a movie to unravel my confusion or expand my understanding. And after reading some interpretations, the powerful aftertaste brought by the film is unexpected.
First of all, I was ashamed, shocked and terrified of my indifference. As I mentioned, at the beginning, I was not shocked, thinking that this is not a movie about a bad street topic like abortion. Knowing the background is that there are differences in abortion laws in various states in the United States and some states still have strict restrictions on abortion laws, and thinking about the recent legalization of abortion in South Korea, etc., I suddenly found out whether my indifference came from the fact that I have already Imperceptibly fixed thinking, in the environment we live in, abortion is legal, optional, or even used to ridicule, such as the abortion plots that have frequently appeared in campus youth movies in recent years. After thinking about it, I was afraid that there might still be many walls of this kind of thinking that I didn't realize, and it also reminded me to constantly expand my horizons and break these walls.
There are still some thoughts to write in the next article.. To be continued..
