I deliberately became a Netflix member to watch "Victory", trying to make up for the regret of not being able to watch it on the big screen. After watching it, I would like to say that if this movie goes to theaters, the rating will definitely be higher than it is now. Not because the special effects look better, but because the large field of view will continue to add points to the warmth of the film.
Perhaps audiences who are used to watching Hollywood blockbusters care more about "space movies" than the plot, and care about the logic of the battle between Victory and the Space Guard. "Space Film" is indeed the title of "Victory", the first attempt at space film in Korean film history. But I think space is just a carrier, and the main body of the film is the most distinctive feature of Han Ying, human nature and warmth. The film has buried the main line of "warmth" from the very beginning. Tae Hao appeared without money. He exchanged stolen rice for money and wanted to find his daughter. Poor guy was his first label. He had no shoes and wore torn socks. , make money. In his eyes, money is the most important thing. The crew of the Victory, Captain Jang, Tiger Park, and UpDong are also people who run for money, so after they discovered the existence of Dorothy (Hwarang), the first thing they thought of was to exchange him for money. The turning point begins when it's Tiger Park, who falls in love with the kid and wants to protect him. So there was the following plot, saw through Sullivan's conspiracy, and began to resist. Rather than saying the crew of the Victory wanted to protect Earth, I'd prefer they just wanted to protect Hwarang. The director did not make them great, they are ordinary little people, but when they see children weaker than themselves in danger, they just want to protect.
There is a reversal of the characters in the whole movie. It is on Tae Hao. What kind of person is Tae Hao? He was a kind person from the beginning. He raised him only when he saw the baby, and knowing that Shunyi was deaf because of himself, further aroused his determination to protect him for the rest of his life. But Shunyi entered orbit under the impact of space junk, and the only way to find her is to save money. So Tae Ho regards money as his life, but when he has paid enough money, he silently opens his daughter's things, sees what her daughter wrote, and wants to be a kind person like his father, which touches the softest kindness in his heart. Shunyi finally disappeared into space. Although this is a BE, it is reasonable, and some regrets are destined to exist. Hwarang helped Tae Ho to see Sun Yi again, which was very similar to Director Cho Sung Hee's handling. Friends who have watched "Wolf Boy" should know that at the end of the movie, Chunyi saw Zhexiu again, but the movie ended with Zhexiu snowballing herself. Maybe Chunyi didn't come back, but it gave the audience great comfort.
The little people of the Victory are little people, not the heroes of the universe, but they are little people with warmth. The film's cosmic special effects, future space fantasy, full characters, full temperature, and occasionally funny humor are enough to give this film a good reputation.
Hope to see this movie on the big screen one day.
