Trumbo

"Blacklisting is a dark time when no one survives unscathed. We were faced with situations that were beyond our personal control. Everyone was driven by instinct, need and personal beliefs, or It was driven to take action by a specific environment. It was an era when everyone was terrified, no exception. Dozens of people lost their homes, lost their wives and children, and suffered heavy losses. Some even lost their lives. When we look back on that dark period, It is pointless to ask who is right and who is wrong, because there is no absolute right or wrong, only victims. We are all victims. We are forced to say and do things that we would not have said or done. To cause harm to others and to ourselves that we really don't want to do. My family is sitting in the audience and I find it unfair to them that what I put them through, my wife keeps this home intact Surprised. So what I'm trying to say tonight is not to hurt anyone, but to heal the wounds, the wounds we've inflicted on each other over the years. In particular, the wounds to ourselves."

The filming was uneventful, but the adaptation of real events and Lao Bai's acting skills still make this film worth watching.

Three and a half stars, a biopic worth watching. I have heard a little about the persecution of Hollywood during the McCarthyist period, but I don't know anything about it. I am grateful for this movie for restoring the history of that time. The lines are very good, and Lao Bai's acting is also remarkable.
