I can't help but love this movie of meaningful conversations. My favorites are the heroine part and the Skyscraper part. The only flaw is the childish estrangement and sudden jealousy, refraining me from loving every second of this movie. So hateful. (Of course, if that's true, it's me who's funny)
The way David Foster Wallace speaks is so charming; I fell in love with him from the moment I heard his commencement speech. Of course empathy is not necessary when watching a movie. Even so, I have to say: I can understand him; or, for the past two hours, I have tried to understand him, and I will think of him for as many conceivable moments to come. Thinking of his undisguised genius, his observations, his language; his compelling stupidity and confusion as a writer; his honesty and kindness, his social strategy; his past and present pain; his self-annihilation at the end of his life .
