she was no difference from any one else

At the end of the story, the man walked slowly through the narrow alleys of a small town carrying fruits, vegetables and cheese. His shadow was drawn very long by the Mediterranean sunlight. Back at the hut, he folded the cheese-wrapped paper and pressed it under the tin, where there was a thick stack of paper folded in the same way, a reminder of the past. He cut two slices of cheese, went to the window, and pushed open the wooden shutters. Sunlight poured into the room, illuminating the large black-and-white photo of him, his dead son, Martin, and their mutual lover, Anna.

I saw her once more only. I saw her by accident, at an airport, changing place.
She didn't see me.
She was with Peter. She was holding a child. She was no difference from any one else.

It's not really an erotic movie, and the camera is very restrained. If it's not an erotic movie, let's talk about the plot, I can't understand such a flashy, completely irrational relationship. Is the two of them a love? I don't think it is, if it is a purely physical relationship, it is not better. This is the uncontrollable burning of a dead branch after encountering a little spark. After burning the dead branch, there is still a dead end, and the spark may go to burn something else.

Because I saw her one more time in the crowd? Damaged people are dangerous. They know they can survive. As for those who haven't suffered setbacks in life, Jeremy Irons is only three minutes away with an unpleasant moan and then "hands in the gun". And then I thought that I could not show any traces, but in fact, I was on fire. Maybe it should be changed, damaged young people are dangerous. After all, they can survive.

Damage quotes

  • Dr. Stephen Fleming: It takes a remarkably short time to withdraw from the world. I traveled... until I arrived at a life of my own. What really makes us is beyond grasping. It's way beyond knowing. We give in to love... because it gives us some sense of what is unknowable. Nothing else matters, not at the end.
