Coco Chanel once said that when you understand the fact that men are children, you understand everything in life.
"Teacher's Love" is adapted from a real case. In a country like the United States, which has zero tolerance for all kinds of violations against minors, it involves the love between teachers and students of minors. The teachers involved are often described as heinous crimes, mainly in the relationship between teachers and students. A series of problems caused by unequal rights.
The drama is about a love-hate relationship between a middle school female teacher and one of her students. In reality, the female teacher archetype is portrayed as evil, but this drama seems to tell another story. Affected by the epidemic, the second half of the play was unfinished. It can be said that there is a big difference with the original story, and the degree of completion is low. But even so, Claire, the female teacher played by Kate Mara, is still unforgettable, which is very distressing in this social public opinion that is quite unfair to women.
Claire, a middle school female teacher, has a husband who loves her and has a stable job. The current couple is actively preparing for pregnancy. But on this calm day, Eric appeared, her student, a handsome high school boy with melancholy eyes. I can't tell who started it first. They met at the restaurant for the first time. Claire helped Eric settle the bill. Later, Eric asked Claire to help him with his homework. Soon, the original desire broke through all the worldly shackles, and the two were together.
One is an adult who seems to have a happy family and life but has a sad past, and the other is a teenager who lacks a family and lives in a hurry at school.
They attract each other, first of all empathy. In the process of growing up, the two had resentment or obsession with their father, and both had bad memories of their father. They are all sensitive and fragile, and there is always a bit of loss or sadness between their eyebrows. It can't be said that they are disappointed with life, the future, or themselves.
They also have completely different sides. Claire grew up with the image of a good girl, and only fell in love for the first time in her senior year, and obeyed the rules both at home and at work. Eric, like other young people, chases excitement and pleasure. One of them follows the rules, the other is free by nature. At first, as an adult, Claire only regarded this as a game, because she knew that once this taboo was broken, it would be forever. But, Eric took it seriously. This simple teenager thought he had met his true love, although this was a relationship that could not be accepted even within more open values. Eric is in pain, worrying about gains and losses, and like all teenagers who have just fallen into what they think are hot feelings, he will do all kinds of childish things. He'd be suspicious, suspicious, and even at the school dance, Eric was deliberately intimate with other girls, making Claire jealous. In the end, Claire, was melted by the infatuated teenager. That is, at this time, with the further intimacy of the two, it also heralded the end of their suffering.
How sweet at the beginning, how painful at the end
In the fourth episode, Claire takes the boy on a farm vacation to celebrate Eric's birthday. Here, their relationship reaches its climax, but Eric's childishness and Claire's inability to extricate themselves also pave the way for the end of the story. Especially Claire's line, "I risk my whole life for you"
A prophecy
As a woman, Claire was so happy, she floated up happily, and even told her colleague and best friend about her incestuous love with her student. The best friend reported the matter, and everything came so fast that it went downhill. As an adult, Claire was at a loss, and even wanted to elope with Eric. However, halfway through the journey, Eric went back and ran away alone. Claire was left alone, staring at the end of the road in a daze.
Claire loses her last fantasies and hopes and goes to jail. After being released from prison, she returned to her hometown to live with her father, who was the father she feared and hated the most when she was young. Claire is like a walking dead and can only rely on YP to prove her existence. As she said before, in pursuit of happiness, she became morally corrupt, abandoned her family, blocked her life, and ended up with nothing.
Eric, entering college, considers himself a victim, his studies are interrupted for a time, and his life seems to be out of his soul. Getting drunk and skipping classes became routine.
The second half of the film is very sloppy, and it ends with the two reuniting and accusing each other. Because of the epidemic and commercial factors, it is a pity that the story is not told completely.
Of course, it is against the law and against morality for both men and women to take advantage of their own power to develop a relationship or even have a relationship with a group of interested parties (such as students). But in this film, we can't see any power advantage Claire has used or forced Eric. She is just a person who is also deeply in love, desperately pursuing her own happiness. In the end lose everything and be punished. There is really no need to be too harsh on her. The world has too many colored glasses for women and enough prejudice against women. As an extreme misogynist, I really feel that there are enough.
Even if there are all kinds of evil things, it is always related to the situation
Maybe I've been rude
Perhaps also lived up to a flower that lived up to the winter in November
you are childish and romantic
sensitive and gentle
Crazy thinking ruins all happiness and joy
She said that men always mature because of women
He said, you are the woman
