I remember that when I saw the various promotions of "Magic Black Forest", the person who was most promoted was Meryl Streep, who played the witch in it. People always say how superb her acting skills are. How in place the eye movements when Pusoe is in love.
After watching the promo, I had a wonderful impression of "Magic Black Forest". People said it was a new story that was a mix of fairy tales, and at the time I thought the witch was the most evil person out there.
I would love to see this movie.
But when I actually saw the movie, I felt that the witch was the most innocent person in the whole movie.
This is a movie that combines various fairy tales, and the classic way of singing and dancing. At the beginning of the movie, including Little Red Riding Hood, the baker and his wife, Cinderella and the little boy Jack entered the forest for various reasons.
In the forest, there lives Rapso, the Rapunzel Princess who was locked up by a witch.
The baker and his wife had to find four things in three days to lift the witch's curse on their family, then they could have children.
The baker's wife exchanged the magic beans her father-in-law stole from the witch with Jack for a snow-white cow. The magic beans were thrown to the ground by Jack's mother and grew into a sky-high vine. Jack climbed up the vine and exchanged with the giant. Got the gold coins and stole the golden eggs.
When he shared the experience with Little Red Riding Hood, whom he stumbled across in the forest, Little Red Riding Hood mocked him for being a liar. Under the stimulation of Little Red Riding Hood, Jack followed the magic vine to steal the giant's harp. The giant male found and chased down the magic vine. Jack cut off the magic vine and the giant died.
The stolen harp was thrown on the ground at random, and Jack didn't show it to Little Red Riding Hood.
Later, all the stories developed along the original main line. The baker and his wife gathered all the items to lift the curse, the witch regained her beauty, Cinderella and Rapso married their respective princes, and then at the happy ending moment, the giantess followed another story. A magic vine came down.
The second magic vine was planted by Cinderella accidentally.
The giantess wants to take Jack to avenge her husband, the witch wants to hand over Jack, but the others refuse, they want to "protect" the weak boy paper.
The conflict broke out after the baker's wife accidentally fell off a cliff, and everyone was arguing, and the witch was finally pointed at the witch. It's all the witch's fault. If it wasn't for her planting magic beans, how could there be something behind.
The witch calmly shut everyone up, gently hugged the baker's newborn child, and sang calmly and softly, "This is the last midnight, and after tonight, everyone will be crushed."
No one understands the decisions she makes, and she is regarded as the source of sin despite the mistakes made by others.
The witch threw down a handful of magic beans, and the beans burst into magic vines, and everyone rushed to pick them up, embarrassed.
"You're a bunch of crooks and thieves, and I'm a witch; you're a good world, and I'm a witch—if that's what you want, long, long, and when another giant comes down from the sky, you can Go find another witch to blame."
The witch chose to commit suicide. She would rather be hunched and ugly than stay away from these hypocritical people.
People still fought to protect Jack, so they killed the giantess and lived "happily" and "happily" together.
This is a darkened fairy tale.
In the end, when everything returned to calm and everyone was laughing and happy, I couldn't feel the warmth. I just think about the witch, the one who was abandoned by everyone but made really kind and real.
Maybe her revenge is a bit too much at times, but compared to the behavior of everyone forcing him to death, I don't think there is anything wrong with what she did.
Although she stole Prasso from her neighbors, she never treated her badly. She really loves her and treats her as her own daughter. Even if the blind prince expels Prasso, she just wants to punish her... His behavior is too extreme , is an expression of love, but as she said, she has been trying to be a good mother.
This fairy tale has been blackened.
Little Red Riding Hood is a girl who loves to take advantage of, taking advantage of the baker's couple's love for children and taking a basket of bread for free. Jack is a child who loves to steal, Cinderella is a girl who is scheming, and she left the crystal slipper on purpose (this is what I Understandable, but I don't like it), what about being sincere, friendly and kind?
If this film is not satirical, then there is really no need for analysis, I just went to see Streep, the sincere kind and lovely witch.
