The film is about a little girl who was sent to a girls' private school in England because her father wanted to fight in the war. In the private school, because she is good at imagining and telling stories, and being kind to others, she and the girls in the private school have become good friends. These friends also include little black girls who work as servants in private schools. The little girl was happily celebrating her birthday in a private school, when she suddenly received news that her father had died in battle, and all the family's property was confiscated by the government, and her family had no other relatives. The person in charge of the private school treats the little girl as a servant because she has no money to pay, and cleans, cooks and purchases with the little black girl... The little girl lives a strong and optimistic life. She always remembers what her father said, every girl is a little girl. Princess. And her father was not killed, but was rescued by kindhearted people and lived next door to recuperate. In order to escape the arrest of the police caused by the framed accusation by the head of the private school, a little girl broke into the next building and met her father who lost her memory, awakening her father's memory. In the end, her father recovered and took back the property, and went home with the little girl and the little black girl.

Every girl is a little princess, whether she lives in a gorgeous palace or a dirty little attic, it doesn't matter if she is smart or not. As long as we have love in our hearts, treat others leniently, believe in equality, and love life, we will surely live a happy life as a princess. I believe that at the end of the story, even if the little girl did not meet her father, her kindness and bravery would help her get out of that temporary predicament and live the same happy life.

  • Sara Crewe: Don't cry, Becky.

Becky: I'm scared. If Minchin throws me out, I got no place to go.

Sara Crewe: That's not true. I'm here with you. I've always thought of us as sisters.

    Becky: You have?

Sara Crewe: Let's make a promise right now: to always look out for each other.

    Becky: It's a promise.

    [they embrace]

  • [the girls have awoken to find the attic beautifully redecorated and a breakfast of sausages, muffins, and fruit awaiting them]

Sara Crewe: Look! Just what we ordered!

Becky: I'm a little scared about all of this.

Sara Crewe: Me, too. Do you think we shouldn't eat it?

    Becky: I'm not that scared!
