I love this show so much, it's so beautiful. Italy really has too many surprises, although most of the story takes place in the Vatican.
There are a lot of places I didn't understand, so I kept thinking about it. Later, I felt that it was not important whether there was an answer, but the process of finding the answer. Mystery is probably the theme that runs throughout the show, no one knows who pope is, not even himself. He is looking for his parents, and he is actually looking for the answer to "where do I come from". The Trinity, God, the Father, and the Son were really realized in him, and realized through mystery.
If I knew more about some religions, especially Catholicism, I might understand the show better, and of course I might have more questions. Many scenes in the play reflect the stories of Catholicism, but I don't know, because I don't understand Catholicism, so I can only associate with some famous paintings.
Going to the Vatican a year ago was more like visiting a museum; going to Venice was more like visiting an attraction. They only stay on the surface, and the emotion is: St. Peter's Square is so big, and St. Mark's Square is so beautiful. I don't know their history or their meaning, just like we know about pope. But obsessed with them, obsessed with appearances.
