Movie, "Bookstore" Original book: Penelope Fitzgerald's novel of the same name, directed by Spanish female director Isabelle Cosette, 8.2/10 From the perspective of a little girl Jipin, it tells the story of a bookstore in a small town fate. In 1959, the seaside town of Harburg in England had beautiful scenery. The people here were happy and satisfied, like a paradise. Mrs. Florence Green, after being a widow for sixteen years, decided to open a bookstore in a small town. The location was an old abandoned house. Everyone was very curious and suspicious. The heroine spent all her savings, the bookstore opened, and Ji Ping, a primary school student, was hired as a part-time clerk, bringing a variety of fresh books to the town, slowly accumulating her own readers, and changing the habits of the residents. The gentleman who lived in the old castle, Browntic, who spent the rest of his life after the war, loved to read and hated socializing with people. He also became attached to Mrs. Green through books and appreciated her courage. A controversial book of the year, Lolita, became a popular book in the town. The General's wife used this to push the city authorities to take back the bookstore and force it to close. Florence also left the town where she had lived for 40 years. Strong British style, bright colors, exquisite costumes, mellow emotions, and a hint of sadness and joy. Maybe the director made a few negative characters out of dramatic consideration, but the other characters are well performed. Reading itself is fun, a book is a world, living in it, sheltering from wind and rain, and being in the book series is to get along with many philosophers and interesting people, not to mention that there are so many close book friends in my group, thank the group leader, Thank you all for sharing so many great books.
