It's amazing to be able to make such a movie in 1995.
The green subtitles at the beginning of the film make people feel that the inspiration for the iconic background subtitles of The Matrix must come from this. Although the picture is rough, the storyline of the film is fascinating (it is not ruled out that some people cannot understand it the first time).
If you have watched the second part of ghost in the shell, innocence, you will find that the structure of the two movies is so similar. Even their theme song is the same. Both movies are discussing such a topic, the separation of soul and body. The reason why human beings are human is because of his external existence or because of its highly developed material, wisdom, or self-perception. If the human mind, or the soul, eventually leaves the human body due to technological progress, How do people think of people. If the development of artificial intelligence makes the machine finally self-perceive and realize the existence of self, then where is the boundary between human and machine?
I like this topic very much, and I hope that more movies will come out.

The movie still looks amazing now, but imagine how shocking it would have been when it came out. The film attracts people into the future world, and feels the sci-fi full of prosthetics, human transformation, and artificial brains. With the shocking and poignant music, it stretches its tentacles into the hearts of the audience and leads people to carry out self-reporting. thinking and forming reflections. In this regard, most people don't think much more than the robots here.
