As a children's film, it must be passable. Adults may not be able to stand it, but a child's perspective may be better. In fact, as long as they are not fucked, everyone can remain innocent. It is this world to destroy innocence. As a 2007 movie, it's a little unfair to fault him now. Dustin and Hoffman did a great job. An old urchin comes alive. That passage about Shakespeare is also very meaningful. It is a sublimation of the movie, maybe only this part, it is a gift for parents who watch movies with their children.
Natalie Portman's performance is really mediocre. Comb your hair straight. The awkward dance at the end was really hard for her. Change someone, it's exactly the same. It would be a waste to use her.
