Before watching "キュア", Kurosawa Kiyoshi's work had only seen "The Day of the Perfect Plesiosaur". Although I was convinced by the lighting and scheduling in the first half, I was a little disappointed by the sudden turn of the plot in the second half. Therefore, it can be said that "Kia" is my work in the pit of Kurosawa Kiyoshi.
Judging from my own movie viewing experience and supervisory interviews, "Kia" and "The Seven Deadly Sins" are obviously similar, but "The Seven Deadly Sins" is the Finch I hate the most, but I love "Kia". The reason, I think, is that the understanding of murder in the two films is different.
Murder is a very different crime, because it directly ends the life of another person. On this basis, except for the lowest level of pure anger, revenge, or accidental killing, it can be derived:
1. Murder in order to allow others to be truly free (hope to promote the meaningless and painful situation of life)
2. Killing in order to feel yourself
3. Murder out of resistance to the social system and alienation (a way for the self to gain unrestricted freedom)
4. And a mix of the above ideas
In "キュア", the psychiatrist of the protagonist's colleague said that if people do not have the idea of killing, they will not kill even if they are hypnotized. This leads to one of the core points of the whole film. Everyone wants to kill in their hearts—— Human nature is the ultimate evil. This is a very pure idea, putting aside all the alienation of people in society, and turning it into a sentence that directly hits the heart "Who is it?" Yes, people as people, the logic when facing all choices. Therefore, the murders of Mamiya and the protagonist are all attacks on alienated people from the social level, and there is a beautiful despair.
Speaking of "Seven Deadly Sins", religious murder seems to be exactly the opposite of this film, but religion itself is a very social thing. The so-called "Seven Deadly Sins" itself has been alienated from the very beginning, and the prisoner kills according to his logic. Also seems very stupid. Just like in Ghibli's "Blooming Hillside with Poppies", the way the students keep the Latin Quarter is to bypass the power of the principal and go to find the chairman of the board, which is very different from the democracy that was first promoted.
And it is also Finch's work, the murder of the killer in "Zodiac" is particularly perfect. Most of the murder scenes have neither suspense nor horror atmosphere, and the way of presentation can not be regarded as restraint, it is simple The performance, because this is the situation at the time, there will be no bgm at the murder scene. In the end, the killer was not brought to justice in the end, which made the theme more advanced. In "キュア", it is said that in fact, no one can know what the murderer was thinking when he committed a crime. Of course, there is no rule that the murderer will be arrested and brought to justice, and there is no rule that the killer will be arrested. There must be some childhood shadow, psychological trauma. After all, murder is really mysterious.
As a result, although "Kiya" is influenced by "Seven Deadly Sins", the spiritual core is two completely different works.
