The two male protagonists are serious about being funny. In the pursuit of peace and art, the artist chose to maintain peace and protect the innocent wounded and sick. In the context of World War II, humour is added to the mockery of the invaders, as well as an objective and positive attitude.

There is one detail. When the German soldiers came to the musical theater, they respected the conductor very much. Probably the invaders also understood that the artist was the spokesperson of human wisdom. The whole film in the humorous scenes, so that the war is not so cruel and terrible.
