Although it is a science fiction film, I think it is essentially about religion—the religion of the future. How similar is the war in the film to the holy wars written in many religious stories! And many shots can see a religiously sacred and noble atmosphere deliberately created, and some shots are simply moved from the woodcut version of the Bible. The single color of the blockbuster is very surreal, mysterious and weird.
