I like listening to rock very much, and I have been involved in various styles of rock, like Pink Floyd, the representative band of psychedelic rock.
Pink Floyd has a famous song called "Another Brick In The Wall" from the 1979 album "The Wall", which tells the story of the Berlin Wall. Later, I heard multiple versions of "AnotherBrick In The Wall", and my favorite is the version covered by Korn.
The protagonist of the song, the Berlin Wall (German Berliner Mauer, English Berlin Wall) is a product of the Cold War and one of the most famous landmarks in human history.
The Berlin Wall was built around the West Berlin border by the government of the German Democratic Republic. It was first built on August 13, 1961 to prevent the free movement of people between the GDR (including the capital, East Berlin) and West Berlin, which is owned by West Germany. "Showcase of the free world".
After World War II, Germany was dismembered, part of its territory was ceded to Poland and Russia, and the rest of the mainland was split into two countries. The story is based on real historical events. Located on the north side of the East-West German border, they built a huge hot air balloon, and when the north wind hung up, it flew downwind to West Germany.
After waiting for so long, Gaunt and Peter finally came to North Wind, but the escape process was not smooth sailing. After the hot air balloon took off, there were frequent emergencies, which seriously hindered their escape plan. After one failure, Gaunt and Peter decided to fly again, and eventually succeeded in flying into West German territory.

"Balloon" focuses on several escapes of Gaunt and Peter, and the whole process is thrilling and exciting. The audience's little hearts are like being pinched by Gaunt and Peter, for fear of being pinched accidentally.
On the one hand, Gaunt and Peter are busy planning their escape, and on the other hand, the East German police are chasing them non-stop. Cross-cutting back and forth keeps the film tense at all times, and the audience can't let go until the last moment.
If I were German, I would think Balloons was so well done, with the protagonists flying across borders and slapping the Berlin Wall. The division into East Germany and West Germany is a history of humiliation in Germany, and Gaunt and Peters are a brave experience for Germans to say "no" to humiliation.
But I'm not German, and I don't think how good the core of this film is. The world is the law of the weak, and if you lose, you will be punished. The division of the same country into two camps has just become the best test field for the two social systems to demonstrate their superiority to each other.
In fact, judging from the living environment of Gaunt and Peter in East Germany, they have already reached a well-off level. He has a house, a car and a job, his husband and wife are harmonious, his children are well-behaved, and he has his own skills, even building a plane.
But such a pillar of society must leave the land where he was born and raised, he can give up his parents and friends who are alive, and he must also run towards the ideal country in his mind.
In "Balloon", Peter's youngest son Feige asked his mother Doris, "What if I don't like Cid?" Doris replied, "We will."
When you are mature, you will know that what is advertised is not the same as the real situation. Just like a good song doesn't mean the truth.

Gaunt and Peter and others are typical people who can share hardships, but cannot share hardships.

As can be seen from "Balloon", the ideological struggle is severe and cruel.
"Democracy" and "freedom" are the core values that Western capitalist societies have always advocated. After all, if you have the right to speak, you will have the truth, and you only need to promote the gorgeous illusion, you can make people mistakenly think that it is the truth.
