Who is John Adams? A fair and stubborn lawyer, a husband who loves and clings to his wife, a stern and traditional father, the son of a cobbler who likes to work on the farm... a typical conservative right-wing Yankee.
Who is John Adams? The first Vice-President of the United States of America (who received only less votes than Washington) and the second President.
The charismatic idealist Thomas Jackson; the erudite and poised and sophisticated Franklin, the dignified and elegant Continental Commander Washington, the firm and conservative John Adams, the nationalist elite Hamilton... just for Forging a new great nation...what a lucky American! It is because of these "shining of the stars of mankind" that the greatest civilization ever born on this planet was born!
Today's Americans, please look back at the deeds of the founders of the country. They are not perfect, they have shortcomings, but their selflessness, their wisdom, and their spirit are always worthy of your admiration and learning. !
"Descendants, you can never imagine how much we paid to maintain your freedom? I hope you will make good use of it. If not, I will regret it in heaven. In order to maintain freedom, I have gone out for every Divide."
I have always been a believer in "institutional determinism", and now I want to ask, if these founders did not have the original moral sentiments and devout religious sentiments, that is to say, it was not such a group of people who could have planned such a country. And the system that guards her? More importantly, if the people living under this system do not have common values and moral beliefs, how can they maintain and abide by the system based on this belief?
Now at the juncture of survival, we must take a good look at the words of John Adams:
"Our government is not equipped to deal with human emotions that are not bound by ethics and religion... Our constitution is only for moral and religious peoples. It is nowhere near enough to govern any other [nations]."
ps: A good wife and confidant, father and son president, retired pastoral, high longevity passed away... John Adams, how did you cultivate the blessings of this life?
