Starting from the cafe, I thought it was a story about a man who lost his memory and a woman who took him back to his old place hoping to revive his memory. The mother and child in the square that the man said 5 years ago were the woman and her child.
At dinner, I think it's the story of the woman who fell asleep while driving and the man died in the car accident 5 years ago, and then the woman imagined it on her wedding anniversary.
Finally in the hotel, the man walks up the dark three floors, when the woman tells him not to turn on the light, I think the woman is imagined by the man, in order to demonstrate the point of view in the writer's book (= point of view in the director's film)
notes:
1. The joke of the magic lamp, I asked for three glasses of cola that can never be drunk
2. "It's not the artwork that I like, it's the way she rests her head on his shoulder."
ps: It's really hard for the eyes to leave the heroine's chest. Is this the director's intention? I thought there was a story with that necklace...
