didn't work out...

I've been waiting since I saw the film on TVB8, so many actors and such sensitive and fresh themes will definitely be interesting, but I'm really disappointed after watching it... Sure enough, if there are too many strong people, the scene will be lost. There won't be too much, so there's not much room to play, so I switched roles as soon as I thought I was going to play. However, the flashback of that time really shook me for a while. After a while, I realized what was going on. It was only a 7-day interval... But this clever trick is a bit too much, in case I watched it in a movie theater, and it was over before I understood what was going on. Isn't it very unpleasant.
A conflict and dispute that used to be outstanding has not been deepened at all. Maybe it can’t be said, but what’s so hard to say after you even made a movie? Thought there would be something exciting like political conflict, reform protests, etc., but I didn't see anything... The Egyptian line is much better than the US side.
In short, nothing was brought into place, and it was not very comfortable to watch. What a pity for such a good cast...

There are too many coincidences in the identity of the male protagonist, Egyptians, chemical experts, living in the United States for more than 20 years without a green card, returning to China just in time for the explosion, and so on. In addition, the time dislocation of the suicide bombing attack did not play much role in the plot, but it just felt like a mystery.

Tonight's Channel TV Guide, it should be said that it is a more exciting movie as it goes on, especially the ending part made my evaluation of it rise by several points. Although the plot still has an unrealistic side, at least this kind of film will be shot directly before the script starts in China.

Rendition quotes

  • Douglas Freeman: In all the years you've been doing this, how often can you say that we've produced truly legitimate intelligence? Once? Twice? Ten times? Give me a statistic; give me a number. Give me a pie chart, I love pie charts. Anything, anything that outweighs the fact that if you torture one person you create ten, a hundred, a thousand new enemies.

  • Corrine Whitman: I need a jackal, not an analyst.
