·John Klitz’s character is named Accher Rich, which is Gary Grant’s real name.
·When Otto came out of Acher’s house, he told Acher’s wife Wendy that they would always speak German instead of American English. When he left, he was still singing the first chapter of the German hymn. This German dubbed version has a changed dialogue. He said that they were all eating sauerkraut and listening to marching marches, and then he imitated some marching marches instead of singing these hymns.
The scene where Otto sits behind Wanda in the background is a nostalgia for a scene from the 1978 movie "Halloween", in which the protagonist Mike Mavis is sitting behind Curtis.
·At the dog’s funeral, the children in the choir sang the lyrics: Miserere Dominus, miserere Dominus, Canis mortuus est, meaning: beg the Lord, beg the Lord; the dog is dead.
·In the process of introducing the main actors at the beginning of the movie, an Eiffel Tower can be seen on the shoulder of Michael Palin.
