Girls Heal

The reason is that I changed my avatar today and was despised.

The 2018 work "Tully", I only watched it once at the time, I felt a little overwhelmed, but it is indeed a very, very thought-provoking and growing film.

I picked a particularly representative picture inside, 30 minutes before the breakout.

Pizza, instant food, tired bodies and a husband who only entertains kids when he comes home from get off work.

In the next two minutes, the son spilled milk and splashed her all over, she took off her coat, the fat and orange peel, the whole person looked terrible, and the daughter asked strangely, "Mom, what's wrong with your body?"

as follows.

I really like this movie very much.

The opening music is soothing, the ritual is strange, and the mother Marlo is obviously brushing her son's body with gentle and gentle movements.

But the real start is a messy life, a cluttered environment, a slovenly appearance, and every time you step on the dead end and arrive.

The boy is not as well-behaved as he sees it. He has some problems of his own and is sensitive and cannot integrate into the class. Because of this, his mother was interviewed by the principal. The principal gently suggested that she hire a one-on-one teaching assistant, and she showed another of her own. Dilemma, lack of money.

When she was finally able to have a little time for herself, she would be criticized by people she didn't know for buying a coffee. After all, decaffeinated skim latte also contained traces of caffeine, which was not suitable for a pregnant woman.

Then she met her former roommate, who lived in the same place with the same phone number and lived the same life as before.

When she went to her brother's house, she said "I wanna kill myself." The first time she said "I wanna kill myself." When her husband explained that it was a joke, she changed her smile instantly, and then she did make a lot of jokes.

If I watch this movie for the first time, I may still know almost nothing about her, but I have already begun to sympathize with him and her. Although the character image and experience have not resonated with me too much (without those experiences), but She's already in a very bad situation as far as I can see.

The financial situation, the "weird" child, the soon-to-be-born third child, there is no one to help and no one to communicate with.

There is a big contrast between her younger brother's family and hers. The younger brother and his wife are obviously in better financial position. They bought a new car and hired a nanny with a master's degree in early childhood education (?).

The younger brother's wife complimented her by saying that she was glowing with glory. She said "I feel like an abandonede trash barge". When she told the story of the trash ship, the exchange was "The ninth month is tough." understand.

Most of the scenes given to her are panoramic, medium, and even down to let us see the full picture of this woman. She is in her forties, haggard, living in a stagnant pool, everything is not as good as she wants, and her income is not as good as that of her younger brother.

The younger brother even installed an indoor bar based on his favorite Tahiti, and offered to help her pay for a night-time nanny. We will be told later that she suffered severe depression during the second childbirth, and the younger brother was worried about her.

That night, Marlo and her husband had the first discussion about night-time babysitters. The husband asked her what she was thinking, and she asked him what he said as if she didn't hear it.

Then the bottom of the water appeared for the first time, and the mermaid appeared on the bottom of the water, slowly swimming past and slowly disappearing. The first time I saw it, I was actually a little hesitant about what Mermaid meant to Marlo.

Then they welcomed their third child, Mia, and when Mia was born, there was a "mermaid cove" on TV, and all the models had to show the beauty of a mermaid...

Marlo's already messy life is even more chaotic.

The image of the mermaid appeared for the third time, Marlo was lying on the sofa, the cartoon was playing on the TV, and the three little girls asked, "Where are my legs, what's going on?" "This is crazy, we are mermaids." Shots Pushing closer, she looked at it and shed tears.

Marlo was again interviewed by her son's principal, and she casually gave an example of the Iliad (I mean, whoever gave Homer as an example casually...felt it was a bit of a ), and finally the principal expressed the meaning of persuading her to quit. She left angrily, on the verge of collapse, remembered the person her brother said, so she turned out the phone.

Then I came to my avatar. I didn't specifically refer to a certain person, I just felt that the discussion about housewives a few days ago, everyone's life has a different position, and I saw a few special ones. Theron's Marlo is too grounded pissed.

That night, she ushered in her own light.

The girl was young and enthusiastic and would talk to her about Samuel Peeps, saying she was like Ash from the men in the recruit, the one from India, and she could speak Japanese, and she would say hello in Japanese.

It's like making a wish out of desperation, thinking it won't come true, but it has come true.

"All the things I'm just too tired to do." Marlo said.

So Tully cleans up at night, makes cupcakes, and does everything Marlo is too tired to do.

When Marlo got used to Tully, the bottom appeared again, this time a human, struggling to swim upstream.

Tull told Marlo about life, watching TV with her, putting on makeup, and doing housework... Marlo is more and more inseparable from her.

Marlo said that she has a bachelor's degree in English literature, and said that she used to have many boyfriends like Tully, but finally chose her current husband. She said that if she ever had a dream but didn't realize it, then she would resent the world, but she Now I can only hate myself.

Tully made her more and more able to find her former self, and her messy life became better and better. Her son found a suitable new school, and Marlo found her passion for life.

Even, Tully put on the uniform she once bought and climbed into her bed (I was shocked by this 3P relationship for the first time until I watched it) Marlo's transformation was seen by everyone at the party at his brother's house.

Then one day, Tully confessed to her that she had an argument with her roommate, took her back to Brooklyn at midnight, went to a bar, and told Marlo that she was leaving.

They were the same, had the same preferences, lived in the same place, had the same bad roommates, and finally revealed the secret. After Marlo fell asleep from the drive and crashed into the water, Tully turned into the merman, unchaining her so she could swim up.

The husband spoke Marlo's original name, " Tully " at the hospital.

She chose this kind of life, transformed into "legs", got used to walking, used to be a mother, used to take on everything by herself, occasionally thinking about the days when she was "in the sea", but she loved her life, hence "Tully".

As sung in the episode,

You only live twice

Or so it seems

One life for yourself and one for your dreams

...

That's why I love this avatar so much, it sucks, but it only gets better, after all, everything is like Tully said, " Girls heal ".
