"Perfect Script, Successful Characterization"

Recently, the theatrical version of "Digimon" was released in China. Seeing that everyone was discussing the movie, I also opened the TV version and began to relive my childhood.

At the beginning, "Digimon" was watched as a cartoon, and it was in Mandarin. Therefore, this review is also in the Mandarin version, and I will use the translation of the Mandarin version in the following statements.

Speaking of which, this animation is really a childhood masterpiece that has a deep influence on me. At that time, I was still young, I didn’t know it was a Japanese anime, and I couldn’t even understand its world view setting (I must be too stupid) . I just think that such an adventure anime is simply too good.

When I was a child, I was madly infatuated with Taiyi. Sure enough, this honest, brave, warm and lively male protagonist is my favorite!

Looking back on it after many years, what impressed me the most was that Agumon mistakenly evolved and became a Zombie Tyrannosaurus (Zombie or Lost, I'm not sure). At that time, I thought, oh ho, can you still play like this? Then there is the evolution of the angel beast and the goddess beast. I can see that my blood is surging, and I wish I had an angel myself!

Then there is the ultimate evolution of the Digimon of the two male protagonists, including the fight against the Four Heavenly Kings of Darkness in the back. I even clearly remember the copy of the Raiders of the Four Heavenly Kings.

Okay, Barabara said so much, now I'm going to sort out some things I didn't see before that I found after revisiting.

First of all, I only watched the first one when I was a child. Although I knew later that there were actually several more, I didn't watch it, mainly when I grew up, I didn't pay attention.

The main reason why the first part is so brilliant is mainly because it has a lively rhythm and has created eight children with different personalities, and these eight children each represent a character, which can be said to have formed some values for me when I was young.

The important thing is that what this work wants to express is not an empty sermon, but is embodied in the plot. We grow up like the children in the play, and the children gain their own qualities, and we understand and are inspired by it.

When I revisited it, I found that this drama actually only has more than 50 episodes, which are divided into three stages to narrate.

The first stage, adventure - the children are called to the world of Digimon and meet their respective Digimon. At this time, the audience is as unfamiliar to this Digimon world as the children. The map of the digital world begins to unfold slowly as the children go on their adventures on Failu Island.

When explaining the map, the children's respective Digimon evolve one by one. Here I want to focus on the plot settings. The first episode enters the world of Digimon. At the beginning of the second episode, Taichi's Digimon evolves into Agumon. After each episode, there will be a Digimon that needs to be confronted, and then the children will have their own 's Digimon evolve into a growth stage in the confrontation.

In the process of evolution, most of the confrontations that appeared were not evil Digimon, but more gentle Digimon controlled by black gears. So from the beginning, the foreshadowing was buried.

Then, every other episode, one of the children's Digimon will evolve from a growth stage to a complete body (ie, Agumon evolves into Tyrannosaurus and so on). In the process, the quality of the children is laid foreshadowing. After all the digital evolution, the children can be considered to be out of the novice village. The map of Fayilu Island has been cleared. After solving the evil beast, they left from Fayilu Island. At this time, the old man Xuannei appeared and began to explain the badge.

Then entering the continent of Sabat is the process of looking for badges and making Digimon evolve from a growth stage to a complete body. This is the second part - badges. In the meantime, the children look for badges, and the qualities that each badge represents begins to become clear. (That is, with the divine plan and the power of the badge, Greymon super-evolved into Mechanical Greymon).

It is worth mentioning that the process of super-evolution is more difficult than evolution. Children can only super-evolve if they find the badge and make their badge shine, that is, they realize their own qualities.

During the first super evolution of Taiyi's Digimon, there is a setting here that Taiyi knows that his badge represents courage, but he is too eager for success and too impatient, and Agumon evolves by mistake and becomes a zombie tyrannosaurus. I have to say that this setting is simply magical, because many times, we don't realize the difference between courage and recklessness. This plot is entertaining and the theme is directly raised a lot. At the same time, this is also a characterization of the male protagonist Taiyi. In the process of growing up, everyone will make mistakes (by the way, every child has a similar plot of comprehending their own qualities and making the badge shine, but I personally feel that the setting is the best. , which is a depiction of the One).

When walking the map of Shaba Continent, the plot is also expanding the world view of the Digimon. The more obvious episode is when they enter the factory, that is, when they meet Andurumon, Guangguang is exposed to the digital world. Program, and the following Meeting Centamon is all about explaining the setting of the Digital World and paving the way for the divine plan.

After that, the plot entered an intense melee, with the appearance of blood-sucking monsters, and the children ventured all the way from the Digimon world to return to the real world.

It’s very interesting to return to the real world, it feels like Ultraman fighting little monsters, and in the episodes in the real world, people in Tokyo were extremely calm when they saw Digimon haunting, I have to say, it’s worthy of Ultraman’s Hometown, monsters or something, it’s not surprising at all (laughs).

At the same time, in order to avoid the monotony of the plot in the real world, and the same way of fighting monsters as in the world of Digimon, the main line of finding the eighth child has been added. This setting is also very delicate. The game between the children and the vampire monsters on the way to find the eighth child is very interesting.

And in the process of the game, the family situation of the children is drawn out one by one, and different families create different personalities of the children.

Anyway, you can always find your own shadow in a child. What children learn from their adventures in the digital world and the growth brought about by them are all manifested in the real world. The emotions and even the plot progress layer by layer, which can be said to complement each other.

Finally came the third stage - the battle. In order to save their relatives in the real world, Taichi and Awa's Digimon evolved to the extreme under the blessing of hope and light, and defeated the resurrected ultimate vampire beast.

There are two points here. The resurrection of the vampire monster into the ultimate body is very well arranged, which naturally leads to the difficulty of the later copy, because after that, the children enter the world of Digimon and face the four kings of darkness.

And the ultimate vampire monster of war, while raising the climax of the plot, it also naturally transitions to the difficult dungeon behind.

In this way, the Ultimate Digimon that appear in a pile later will not appear abrupt.

Playing the copy of the Four Kings of Darkness is the cool route. The Digimon that had appeared before were affected and reappeared, explaining the chaos of the Digimon world under the rule of the Four Heavenly Kings.

When I was watching the plot, many friends discussed the combat power of the Four Heavenly Kings, and generally believed that the puppet beasts were not that powerful.

In fact, from another angle, I think the role of the puppet beast is more worth digging into. By the way, when fighting the puppet beast, Ah He began to doubt himself, and there was a disagreement with Tai Yi, and the male and the male began to duel. Oh, this familiar plot, if Digimon is not an anime that is biased towards children, I doubt whether Ah He is going to be blackened. Of course, Ah He did not become black, but understood and broke through himself more. However, A He's character building is a bit awkward, so much so that when it comes to this part, there are many scolding A He on the barrage.

I just want to say that the plot needs, the plot needs, and it is also the growth of Ah He. It's just that it may not be enough to pave the way, and it seems a bit abrupt.

Speaking of puppet beasts, in fact, the protagonist group does not have too many positive hard steel plots with puppet beasts, but the setting of puppet beasts is very interesting.

A poor puppet with no friends because it lacks a heart.

When Zulimon told the puppet that he was missing something, the puppet angrily destroyed him, and said how could he be missing something, including when the puppet took Awu, and Awu wisely asked the puppet if he had any friends , Puppet beast actually has a moment of hesitation and confusion.

Then he made a doll similar to himself, and he wanted to show it to Ah Wu that he also had friends.

But Ah Wu ran away, and the puppet beast was so angry that he said, "He doesn't really want to play with me at all."

Tsk tsk tsk, aside from the veil that he is a villain, he is actually quite pitiful.

When he was knocked out by Steel Garuru later, he still didn't understand, he didn't understand what he was missing.

Poor, really poor.

What is missing, obviously, lack of heart, that is, lack of friendship, so the one who lost the puppet beast is the Digimon of Ah He who represents friendship.

Since we talked about the puppet beast, let's talk about the first steel sea dragon beast to be killed. This is really sad. At the beginning, the children met the sea dragon beast in the growing stage, then the super sea dragon beast they met in the real world, and then the steel sea dragon beast in the difficult dungeon. Good guy, this should be every The Digimon who have been abused during the period, the appearance rate is great! It's worthy of the title of "full loyalty", hahahaha.

At present, I only revisited the defeat of the puppet beast, and the memory behind it is not so clear.

But there is a plot where there is a demonic beast, and the beast is fighting with her. When I was a child, I was very happy to watch it, and sure enough, "I like watching two women fight" - issued by Lu Xiaobu sound.

Later, if you have time to make up for it, just sauce.

Digimon: Digital Monsters quotes

  • Puppetmon: All I wanted to do was play a little game of war with T.K.

Takeru "T.K." Takashi: Oh, play? You mean like... pretend?

Puppetmon: But of course. At least at first it will be make believe, anyway. But then it's bye bye, and it will be time to destroy you for real. If I got rid of you now, I'd have no fun.

  • [TK sniggers]

    Ken: What's so funny?

TK: You claim to be the Digmon Emperor. You turn good Digimon into your slaves. You see Ijijoudji you're a pretender. You have no idea of the powers that you're up against.
