Our Mr. Danse is better, wearing glasses and a scarf, very gentle, and there is no abruptness in his speech and manner. The whole series is the conflict between such a creepy existence as a murderer and the high IQ hidden under such an ordinary appearance of Danse, which makes us especially want to watch it.

As for why Danse wanted to kill, there is no explicit statement in the play. The more this method requires the audience to analyze, the more profound the image of the characters is.

In the final stage of the trial, the defense will of course argue that Danse was unable to control himself when he committed the crime. The prosecution, in addition to Danse's unreliable testimony and indirect physical evidence, has no other strong evidence.
