The same and the end

A shocking and powerful movie.

Both characters stand up well, especially Nixon's portrayal.

Nixon's presentation is so contradictory and self-consistent! He is shrewd and confused, self-righteous and talented. In the previous interview, he was confident and cunning, and Frost was extremely frustrated. The former president's skills were at a glance, but later he said calmly, "Everything the president does is not illegal. ", everyone was stunned, and he went on to add "later he found that very few people had the same idea as him." He spoke out loudly his inner thoughts, which he knew would be reviled, and maintained an almost presidential sanity.

Frost's characters are shown more at the beginning, but his psychological changes are shown in the later stage, which is exactly the same as when he was under pressure to show optimism in front of the camera and the team after the interview began. He finally visits Nixon before leaving California and talks to Nixon about the phone call the night before the last interview, his answer also adds to the complexity of the character, when this "performer" is acting and when is it real In a trance.

In the end, the conversation between the two of them and the retrospect of the middle call connect the lives of the two protagonists. The two boys who grew up in similar family backgrounds, have different pursuits in their hearts, and achieve harmony with the environment, and eventually lead to different lives.

The plot is slightly contradictory. How could a reporter who is ambitious, dares to challenge impossible tasks, and has a precise estimate of the success of the radiation range, how can he spend every day without doing his homework, and finally win a big victory with a fluke? Too much drama.
