The movie is called "Land Forsaken".
From the name alone, you can feel an apocalyptic taste, which is also a common style of American movies.
But after watching it, I found out that this is another movie that pierces the boundaries between the kindness and darkness of human nature.
It throws a question about what is true kindness.
There are many suffocating plots in this film. Among them, the one I remember the most about the big demon is not the male lead, but the preacher Roy!

He is a fanatical Christian, and in order to prove that his belief in gods made him overcome his fear, Roy took a pot of spiders and poured it on his face.
This scene directly made my scalp tingle with the big demon, this operation is absolutely perfect.
And Roy's younger brother was paralyzed and unable to walk because of drinking too much antifreeze. The reason for drinking antifreeze was also to test his faith.
This approach even the male protagonist Willard's mother said bluntly, "In my opinion, it is too extreme."
Indeed, what the two brothers did in order to test themselves was incredible.
But even more unexpected was what Roy did to her wife.
After seeing Roy pour spiders on her face, Helen was directly moved by Roy's courage and piety, so the two of them got married and gave birth to a lovely girl, Lai Ruola.

As time passed, Roy's more and more fanatical belief finally reached the bottleneck of the outbreak. He took his wife Helen to the mountains, saying that he wanted to take a romantic walk with Helen in the mountains.

As mentioned earlier, Roy is not a supporting role in the film. Besides him, there are many characters of all kinds, and their lives are full of contradictions.
There is Alvin who murdered to avenge his sister, a young priest who is filthy and hateful on the surface, and a police officer who protects his sister for his own sake.
They do what they think is right.
The contradiction is so big that I can't see who is the good guy and who is the real bad guy.
After watching this movie, I do regret the big demon. I always think that the plot of the movie is too dark. I can only say that it brings together too much evil in one movie.
In the future, I will still watch some comedy movies at night, at least to improve the quality of sleep.
This film is not recommended for friends to watch, it is a bit depressing after watching it, okay, good night.
