Ukiyo-e in the black neighborhood of Brooklyn in the hot summer + unstoppable racial conflict + irreversible quagmire of discrimination. 1. The play is extremely delicate, combining classic design and small plot mode. The first two acts have multiple clues and multiple characters scattered narrative, and the third act brings together the fate of all characters by the fuse. The character characterization is more lifelike and three-dimensional believable. 2. The film perfectly combines the sense of comedy in the trivial quarrel with the shock and sadness of the climax conflict. 3. Realistic depiction and stylized audio-visual language are combined together. The wall behind the 3 black people is as red as flames, the two sons of Sal have a black and a white vest, and the blacks, whites and Koreans look directly at the camera and come out with racial slurs montage of close-up, oblique composition, subjective wide angle shot of radio man. 4. Spike Lee's objective neutrality is admirable, beginning with rap music and dancing, juxtaposing King's nonviolence with Malcolm's necessary violence quote and ending, leaving everything for the audience to judge and think. 5. Left hand Hate right hand Love salutes [Hunter Night]. 6. Ice cubes across lips, arms and body. 7. Use Samuel L. Jackson's radio broadcast as a transitional transition and entertaining commentary.
