crime? Art?

This "Angel of Death" adapted from real events, although it is a crime film, has no sense of bloody killing. Some people say that it glorifies crime, but it is actually a kind of black humor. It is also in such an atmosphere that it is even more thought-provoking.

Callitos, a seventeen-year-old boy with the face of an angel, does the devil's work. He said he was born a thief and relished in crime, which is undoubtedly a sociopath. His seemingly decent family didn't give him the right guidance. His father knew a thing or two but he couldn't stop him from the precipice. The mother's doting was worrying about his son's misfortune. Even in the end, they didn't know that Kalitos had committed a crime. What a ridiculous crime. His innocuous face may have been his perfect passport to criminal succession. "The world belongs to outlaws and artists," and he explains it well. He was naive, numb, crazy, and even more elusive. There is also a lot of room for reverie in the film, perhaps because it is impossible to understand the inner thoughts of the real "angel of death".

The angel of death seems to be no longer a heinous serial killer, but an ignorant and ignorant rebellious boy. This reminds me of "Wayne" and "Fuck the World", in which the rebellious crimes also have their own cuteness. They are bohemian, free and fearless, and they write their own extraordinary chapters. Of course, this is not for us to understand the crime and justify it, but to realize the torture of the human nature shown in the film after throwing away the three views.

After all, the criminals could not escape the punishment of the law, and the film ended abruptly just right at the end. This is the greatest kindness to the viewers. But this is not absolute. In "Mother" starring Yuan Bin, the real criminal did not fall into the legal net at the end of the film. Although this is different from my existing cognition, it does not seem to hinder the artistic tension it shows.

After reading "The Metamorphosis", Marquez expressed the emotion of "how to write it originally", opened his mind, and achieved magical realism. Indeed, watching a movie or reading a book will refresh my cognition. It is in this baptism that I find new thinking, collide with the inherent formula, and create new sparks.

The male protagonist is of Italian descent from Argentina. He can be called a chubby Cupid with a different face. He is also very natural to be shameless and flirtatious. A plate of warm water, can't say anything bad, but it's really not bright. Carlitos could kill anyone with his hands up, but he never took Ramon directly into his hand. He only dared to beat around the bush. Probably this is love.... (Of course, it also caused a serious frustration of not shooting for a long time-- )

El Angel quotes

  • [first lines]

Carlos: Are people crazy? Does anybody consider the chance to be free? Going wherever you want; however you want. We all have a destiny. I am a natural-born thief. I don't believe in "this is yours, and this is mine".

  • Bartender: Hey, it's ok if you're both faggots, but you should be more discrete.

Ramón: What the fuck did you say?

Bartender: That if you're both faggots...

[Ramón hits him on the head with a bottle of whisky and Carlitos laughs at the scene]
