"The Three Monkeys" Movie Notes

Ceylon is a very ingenious, minimalist narrative textbook. Ceylon is a serious storyteller. Three monkeys - don't listen, don't see, don't speak. As implicitly silent as this story.

I can't remember a lot of places, but I can remember a few of the most impressive/The passers-by who discovered the car accident on the rainy night drove the car far away, and the politician slowly emerged from the darkness in the foreground. The background of the story is quite concise and neat/Two rooms In a room, the son asked the mother if it was okay to have a bow tie, but the mother carefully closed the door without answering, indicating that the secret was happening / The son went home without a word and walked into his room. The beam of light on his face/two cell phone ringtones form an ingenious correspondence: The first is the woman in the politician's office and the cell phone rings. In fact, it is not) to show that women are flattered when they get along with "superior people" (personally, I think this is not enough to become a foreshadowing of women's inexplicable love and inseparable from politicians, only here I think it's a bit bug) The second woman's phone rang when she was taking a bath. The man walked in and stopped, and it rang again. The woman and the politician's extramarital affair was found here. Two bells exchanged texts.

/ When a man sees a woman crying beside the boat and wants to jump into the river, she hides in the shadows in the dark, and when she comes out of the shadows, the woman is chatting with her son and she has a lot of thoughts/Blank and silence The man and the woman argue Two minutes of silence, looked at the man and said, don't be stupid, come down over there

The switching between the big vision and the close-up is precise, such as the dispute between the woman on the beach and the politician's large-scale movements, which is the big vision at this time. Multiple characters in fixed positions are in the picture and also enter and exit the room. Ceylon is very good at using indoor space for scheduling

Ceylon also subtly merged part of the imagery and the story line: that is, the "little boy" who became a surreal symbol-the deceased little son was not mentioned at the beginning, but appeared in two surreal closes. At the end, I told the audience that it used to be a family of four, which is really good.

About the processing sound of sound and picture: roaring of train tracks/birds and crows/silence

Color of the picture: gloomy and low pressure with the impending rainstorm

Tragedy has a power to grow and circulate on its own, and sometimes you can't figure out its starting point. The deceased brother was a hidden wound that the family must not be able to touch. In the end, it was torn into a hole with strong absorption power under the entanglement of various inducements and external forces. The picture quality was so bad that I lost a part of my pleasure, and I guessed that I lost some of the ending. I watched in the middle of the night, and the two scenes that my brother appeared scared me. Ceylon, do you not make horror movies for Mao?

shocked! One of the most balanced and best looking films of all Ceylon films. The screenwriter is excellent, the camera editing is superb, the surreal elements create a very eerie atmosphere, it can be said that there are hidden mysteries everywhere, and the most important thing is that all this does not affect the flow of poetry. Concealment, betrayal and the constant entanglement of family affection have a richer dimension than previous and subsequent works. The title says it all very subtly.
