I wonder why a movie with three superstars Tom Cruise, Meryl Streep and Robert Redford (the latter two are still super acting) starring and directing is so obscure, even with decent subtitles nothing. It is said that Redford is also an Oscar director. In my experience, the quality of a film lies in the director and actors. Do you want this film?
The actors really have nothing to say, Streep, the old witch, is simply a guarantee of quality, and whoever plays it is who. It's not bad for Tom Cruise to play an ambitious politician. He is good at the kind of impulsive and SMART, old-fashioned, slippery and passionate characters. From a technical point of view, the confrontation between the two is not flawed.
But this book...how do I put it...I think Redford didn't know which way to go when he was shooting. I guess the word "objective" was left in his head, but being objective does not mean that he has no direction, no It's just a taste. It was supposed to be a very in-depth film about the Iraq War and international geopolitical thinking, but it turned out to be four dissimilarities for him. He went back and forth with a few lines, and he didn't make a fool of himself. It's a pity The acting skills of the three giants.
