I just watched a series of World War II documentaries recently, and I just had a general understanding of the background of the film. It’s like our so-called main theme movie. To a certain extent, the reason why the actor accepted this film was due to the good script. Through the three-day and three-night escort encounter of the Greyhound in the Atlantic Ocean, there were not only the background of the big war, but also the thrilling naval battle, and the most important thing was the anti-ship long shape. The captain is a leader, shouldering the safety of the entire destroyer's officers and soldiers, and at the same time coordinating the large escort fleet. He sticks to his post, is not afraid of danger, and commands every battle, which is thrilling; but what the film wants us to see more is that he is a gentleman. The usual marriage proposal, morning prayers, prayers before meals, and quotations from scriptures at critical moments. When a U-boat was sunk and the soldiers cheered "50 more Germans were eliminated", he quietly said, "It is also 50. "Human life", he is rigorous but not pedantic. He changed his slippers by eating poorly and bleeding from his feet, and finally relieved his burden and rested through prayer. It is said that in the turbulent waves of history, individuals are just a grain of sand, so the Greyhound is just a wave in the Atlantic Ocean.
