I watched 1 with my classmates in high school, and then I just watched 2 again. I had been thinking about watching it for several years, but I was a little disappointed after watching it. It's a very simple story of a princess looking for true love, but it emphasizes women's self-independence and self-awareness, and it fits Disney's later adjustment of female characters.
Maybe I grew up, this kind of plot doesn't resonate very well. If I watched 2 in high school, I would definitely be moved and have fantasies about love haha, but Anne Hathaway is so beautiful!
