Matilda is a smart girl who is able to use her super power to solve every challenge she meets in her life. At the beginning of the movie, Matilda is born with a high IQ, and at four years old, she has finished reading all her parents' magazines and asks her father to have a book. However, Matilda's parents are too ignorant and uneducated to understand their daughter and treat her equally to her brother. Instead, they abuse her every time. Hence, Matilda goes to a library by herself and reads a great variety of books. Following, after six-year- old Matilda having asked many times to go to school, Matilda's father, an unscrupulous car dealer, sends her to Ms. Chunchbull's school as a business deal. At the school, Matilda finds that Ms. Chunchbull is a mean and heartless woman who used to be a shot put pitcher,and now loves to throw students out of school like shots. She always punishes the children in an inhumanely manner so that the whole school hates and is afraid of her, except Matilda. At the same time, Matilda meets several good friends like Lavender, while the most important thing is, she gets to have her best teacher as the best friend. This wonderful teacher is Ms. Honey, who is so kind and gentle that no one is aware of her doleful and horrible past which was caused by her aunt, Chunchbull. When Matilda is told of Ms. Honey's story, she decides to help her and ultimately achieves her purpose using her magic power. Moreover, Matilda utilizes her power to bring on paranormal events to scare and cow Ms. Chunchbull, who is superstitious, and to expel her from their town successfully, which results in revelry of the entire school. In the end,Matilda's family moves to Guam and Matilda is adopted by Ms. Honey and since then, they have enjoyed their lovely family together. To conclude, Matilda is a kind-hearted, brave, honest and clever girl, who stands up for what she believes and chases after what she wants, a person who shows a splendid and encouraging way to live for all of us.
