going to children's houses when I was a child. Seeing large half-height dolls,
perfect plastic faces, with a stiff smile on their faces, I hurriedly avoided them.
French expensive ceramic court dolls curled. The blond hair sets off the delicate cheeks, the gorgeous dresses are clustered, and it is even more eerie to sit there in
rows and stare at you.
However, I love all ghost stories and fairy tales about dolls. I
think are too realistic or weird are ominous.
So I think Dead Silence is more or less good-looking and some of the above reasons
. The protagonist in the story is Billy, a ventriloquist doll,
who has the most common appearance in traditional ventriloquism performances.
Wooden male flannel suits are large and flexible but never Eyes that can be closed,
a bright red smile that almost grins to the ears
, that's how the doll with a distinctive appearance appeared in the movie from the beginning, and the
audience thought he was alive,
sitting on a chair, lying on a bed and sitting in a car, no matter what. The posture of
Billy seems to be staring at you, and there is a sarcastic smile on the corner of his mouth.
Even if the camera does not bring you, you will always be aware of the existence of those eyes. There is nowhere to escape
. The author changed the realistic bloody style this
time , and followed the tone
story of the traditional British horror film in the 1950s and 1960s. The photography style is retro, the pictures are exquisite, the colors are bright, the
special effects are just enough
, and the unique processing of the sound effects adds color to the film. The beginnings and turns of many
plots are still the biggest attraction.
Although I guessed the answer in the last 5 minutes of the film, I still think that the story is cleverly edited. An
interesting little discovery when watching the film:
1. The young pregnant wife who was murdered at the beginning of the movie is the same as Mia Farrow in [Rosemary's Baby] regardless of body
shape The scene coincides with Dead Silence, who also talks about pregnant babies and the malevolent possessiveness of human nature. Is it a deliberate tribute to the master Polanski? A clown puppet in the dark creepy Westerners' clown phobia is really deep-rooted. This is incomprehensible to eastern audiences, but the camera pan deliberately panned to the main character Jigsaw in [SAW] and was left idle in the corner. Such a spoof makes people laugh Anyway, you can't underestimate the heads of these two young filmmakers, Wan and Whannell . I admire people who take and make horror films seriously. They have another one in post-production and I'm already drooling.
